I already have 4 children and would like another child.
Does anyone believe that children are a gift from the Lord?
Being busy at home with my children is so appealing.
This day and age most people think it is insane at my age(almost 42) I love being a wife and mother!
Believers and non believers answers welcome......just curious about other's opinions about this matter .......

Children are a gift and it is wonderful in this day and age to find a mother like you who loves raising her children and doesn't see them as a burden, but please remember to plan in time for yourself and your husband to relax in your golden years.

I've read that at your age there is an increased risk of birth complications and defects. That being said, I say go ahead and have another baby if you want, as long as you can provide for it. I think that many parents today are regretful of having children because they did so by accident and cut their youth short. I'm glad to hear that you actually enjoy parenting. We need more like you.

Children are great but not a gift from the "Lord" they are what happens when you have sex with a man and his sperm fertilizes your egg. BUT, they are cool once they are born and flip around. I love kids, but there are just too many people having them under the wrong conditions and for the wrong reasons. If you love your kids and raise them right and good (not meaning with faith or any of that just to be respectful and kind people) then go for it.

Children ARE a gift from God, if you love being a parent, think about foster parenting, it can be a very good fit for some families, not all though.
If you want more children have more children.
As for the questin about being crazy. . . . . . . sanity is overrated, I tried it and it aint all that great.

I am 37 ... my oldest is 16
and I am pining for another
children have just became my life for so long now , I am not sure what to do with an empty house lol
although my youngest is only 6 , so I am ok for a few more years yet
but sadly I dont think it is meant to be.... have been trying for so long now
but you go for it ... 42 isnt that old to be having babies these days

No you are not crazy, You are blessed.
As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate. Psalm 127:4-5

I think thats great! The Bible says children are a blessing, nowadays people look down on children basically cause they think they are getting in the way of their life or something. Its really sad.

I don't think you're crazy. :) You're doing what you enjoy doing and you're lucky to be able to do it. Congrats.
However - I don't necessarily believe children are a *gift* from God. I believe they're the result of natural, biological pro-creation. That doesn't mean I don't think they're special or precious or anything like that - on the contrary I do think your children are special and precious to you.

My grandparents had 16. I'd say they were whack-jobs.
I wouldn't endanger a child being pregnant at 42. You'll be home with your kids for long enough.
