Statistics show that those without any religious beliefs are highly insecure and base their existance on pure logic and "intelligence" . Hense their insecurity. I have never come across more misery as when a non-believer is about to leave this world and realises that there was more to it all than their narrow minded (But oh so intellectual)brains would allow.
My question is this- Why on earth would anyone purporting to be smart make a rediculous corrolation between Religion and IQ? (Its faith, not religion, that transcends the human brain anyway)

The Old Covenant declared that a curse would come on Israel if they broke God's Law. In Leviticus 26:19 God said he would make their heaven as iron and in Deut. 28:23 he said it would be as brass.
Naturally speaking, lack of rain for crops and livestock would be a devasdtating punishment.
Spiritually symbolic too. There would be no answer to their prayers as a result of their disobedient.

This teaching about heaven being shut up against God's people if they don't tithe also comes from Malachi 3 where God is rebuking the nation of Israel for breaking the covenant. In verse 10 he says:
"Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, andprove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of Heaven, and pour you out a blessing, hat there shall not be room enough to receive it."

Israel wasn't giving God the tithes that were required by their covenant, so they were anation of God-robbers and they were under a curse. God...

Why can't I just accept that God exists and be perfectly content and satisfied like most people? Most people don't even question their faith, they just know. I wish I could find that kind of security, but I doubt everything. I'm very pessimistic- I expect the worst. I fear that there isn't an afterlife, and spend literally every night crying, fearing that I will never be reunited with my loved ones in the afterlife. I'm only 19. Is it normal to feel this depressed about death all the time?

I wish I could just believe that God existed. I wish it were simple, but it's not for me.
What's wrong with me?

Ok, so a few years ago, I left a protestant church, started searching....Mormon missionaries came to my house(my mom was/is Mormon). I started talking to them, and then my mom's friend took me to a Catholic Church. I loved the service, but not everything they preached.

I went to mass every week, met the priest some evenings to learn more about the faith(since RCIA was over). I even thought about becomming a priest and working at the vatican, or possibly as a missionary in Africa to help out with the poverty and health crisis(aids, hunger, etc.) going on. But for some reason, I just dropped the faith like a hot potato after 2 years of going to mass.

I think it may be due to the fact we got a new priest and I don't like him(I call him Father Fatboy to top it off). Also, I think it may be due to the fact that I can not, for some reason, accept the fact that the wine and wafer LITTERALLY turn into the blood and flesh of Christ. Of course I always through in the Satan pointed me away.

Wouldn't it make more sense that we pay $50 together because its not our money but our parents money?

Everything I state has the surah and verse right next to it, so you can see that it is truthful no matter what hateful trolls say.

If you read these, you see they are about self defense, and also telling the reader that if the person you are defending yourself from stops, then you must stop too. It also says don't go overboard in protecting yourself, just do what you need to stay alive and protect yourself. This does not mean to go around killing innocent people. Self defense is not killing those who are not muslim. Self defense is just that. If physically attacked, fight back. If the attacker stops, you stop too. And why was verse 192 left out of the Answering Islam site? Is it because it made people really think about this? It says if the attacker stops, then good, all is forgiven.

[002:190] Fight in the way of Allah against those who fight against you, but begin not hostilities. Lo! Allah loveth not aggressors.
