I'm a deist..we believe that there is a God but that he doesn't intervene with the workings of the world..it goes with the clockmaker theory...the clockmaker theory describes the clockmaker winding the clock and then letting it run by itself...God created the world and let evolution take over from there and such...I chose this religion because i do believe that there is some form of a God, but I don't want to believe that this God has so much power and doesn't do anything to help defeat the terrors of the world...
For the Catholics and Christians:
-where was your God when a little girl was getting raped in an alley somewhere
-where was your God when Africans were slaughtering each other because of minor physical differences
-where was your God when a serial killer tortured someone to death and cut up their body to pieces
-what about the many people dying from aids?
if he's so powerful why doesn't he help with all of this...he sits up there on his fluffy white clouds holding the ability and power to DO SOMETHiing but yet he doesn't...what sadistic ***..and go ahead and say i'm going to hell for saying that...i been saying a lot worse and no thunderbolt has struck down on me yet. pfft...yall are so vague..and close-minded...illogical..and ignorant..if the bible said that oompa loompas were the powerful godly figures of the world, everybody would be worshiping oompa loompas...but it takes open-minded and non-ignorant people to realize how retarded that is.

I believe in God. I'm a Christian. My beliefs would take forever to type out. Succinctly put, I believe:
in God the Father.
Jesus Christ, God's only Son.
The virgin birth.
I believe that Jesus was crucified, died between two thieves, and was resurrected on the third day.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, and that It was sent to the apostles on the day of Pentecost.
And last but not least, I believe that some day Jesus will come again, but no one knows when.
Although it's not necessarily part of my religious beliefs, as a human, I believe that everyone is entitled to their own beliefs. Christianity works for me.

The One, the Son, the Sun are but a few.
I see you in Nature’s morning dew.
My yellow swallowtail;
at the creek to greet me without fail.
My Sisters teach me well.
Imitate Beauty: in my Soul, they dwell.
Their Mother guides me away from folly.
I see you in the faces of people who are jolly.
Diana and Apollo,
our Mother and Father, so easy to follow.
Jesus, Buddha and Plato knew you too.
They all are part of you, how true.
The Father Son and Holy Ghost
The church has abused these the most.
You were once there.
They no longer see you anywhere.
Here in our new lands,
the Great Spirit stands.
You are there as a Turtle or within the Myrtle.
Your love is fertile.
The Moon and Stars can move me; it seems.
You are there to guide my dreams.
My Celtic roots begin to sprout.
Myrddin will be my guide I shout!
You gave us roses for our eyes and noses.
There you are one supposes.
Renewal in Mother Nature the first of every May;
I celebrate, play and pray.
Thoreau, Emerson and the Unitarians
know when you can see God everywhere, you can’t sin.
I know Beauty and Harmony;
What else need be?

I'm not really a specific religion, I believe there's something out there, but I prefer to refrain from using the term God, I think it's more of an energy. Not completely good, but not all bad either, more of a balance.

I used to think there was a god.
I think truthfully I am slowly converting to atheism. I grew up christian. Wow, what a crazy book to follow - the bible. I read a bit of it the other day and found it far from compforting. In fact it made me feel mentally ill.
I believe in a power that governs the universe, but I don't think there are any spirits that give a **** about our personal problems.

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended into hell.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy Catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. AMEN.

Millions of people believes that there is God.
Even the demons believe that there is God
James 2:19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.

I do believe
God is only one and is eternal, is absolute and there is nothing like him (still he has no gender coz he is not human, but for a language limitation we have to call Him)
anyway, I am muslim revert, used to be catholic, but I found out that no one but God has the right to judge me and that he commands me to study more and more about his creation, coz u can not worship something u dont know...so the more I learn about SCIENCE and about my religion, the closer I get to God.
1: "Allah's commandment has come, therefore do not desire to hasten it; glory be to Him, and highly exalted be He above what they associate (with Him)."
2: "He sends down the angels with the inspiration by His commandment on whom He pleases of His servants, saying: Give the warning that there is no god but Me, therefore be careful (of your duty) to Me."
3: "He created the heavens and the earth with the truth, highly exalted be He above what they associate (with Him)."
4: "He created man from a small seed and lo! he is an open contender."
5: "And He created the cattle for you; you have in them warm clothing and (many) advantages, and of them do you eat."
6: "And there is beauty in them for you when you drive them back (to home), and when you send them forth (to pasture)."
7: "And they carry your heavy loads to regions which you could not reach but with distress of the souls; most surely your Lord is Compassionate, Merciful."
8: "And (He made) horses and mules and asses that you might ride upon them and as an ornament; and He creates what you do not know."
9: "And upon Allah it rests to show the right way, and there are some deviating (ways); and if He please He would certainly guide you all aright."
10: "He it is Who sends down water from the cloud for you; it gives drink, and by it (grow) the trees upon which you pasture."
