Just wondering what sort of daily offerings you like to make, and any rituals associated with that?

Looking for new ideas!

My life doesn't reflect the life of a saint. I cant pray, words just a are not there. I live on the couch of a worldly gay guy because I cannot get, or hold a job. It seems I have put my finance before God. most likely I have ruined her spiritual life as well. I just don't see anything in my life that reflects the life of Christ. I go to church where the pastor is a true man of God as well as the other members. I know what the truth is and certainly know that I was defiantly saved at the beginning.

But what now? It seems that no matter how hard I try my life does not improve and I do not come any closer to God. And if I am not living a Godly life before him,,, there really is no point in continuing.

I know the Bible says this and I'm a little nervous---the masturbation alone accounts for thousands of sins!

This is the Yahoo Answers! policy I just inadvertantly learned. I happened to use all upper case--great for easy reading. They can't just remain in the background--they must intrude their egos into the process. Using all capitals is not necessarily rude. If it were perceived as shouting that is something it's true-- but not necessarily. And what about the right to be rude by intention? And what about the rudeness of stopping someone from posting? Like subjugation to a machine isn't abusive enough for Poor Man (and Poor Woman)--add a little sh--ty arrogance to it? The people who think this is cool to do are literally damned but saying so will not be understood.

6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

We in India keep bragging of our greatness, our past heritage, our culture, our ancient knowledge, etc. You will find that India only romanticizes the past. I was looking around my house trying to identify any single thing that we use in our daily life that was invented by an Indian: NOTHING! No safety pin, no clothes, no processed food, no furniture, no glass, no gas, no fridge, no electricity, no fan, no light bulb, no TV, no footwear, no toilet, no plumbing, no plastic, no anti-biotics, NOTHING FOR GOD'S SAKE! I am an Indian and NOT very proud to admit that we have not contributed much to the modern world. Even now it is not too late ... we should STOP being proud of COPYCAT achievements of our software 'greats' and business tycoons such as Narayanmurthy, Aziz Premji, Vijay Mallya, Ambanis, etc. These people have only created wealth out of second-hand ideas. THE NEXT GEN INDIANS SHOULD FOCUS ON "RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT" AND BECOME INVENTORS - NOT BOASTFUL COPYCATS!

Why do some say that because the media shows crazies screaming islamic stuff while doing contrary actions, that this means every single man, woman, and even unborn children are all the same? Does that even make sense to rational, thinking people? What do you think of this quote?

"During the life of Prophet Muhammad, the Jews in Madina had a synagogue and an educational institute, Bait-Al-Midras. The Prophet preserved the institute and gave protection to the Jews.

The Prophet respected the autonomy of the Christian churches. The nomination and the appointment of bishops and priests was left to the Christian community itself.

Prophet Muhammad promoted cooperation between Muslims and Christians in the political arena as well. He selected a non-Muslim, 'Amr-ibn Umaiyah-ad-Damri, as an ambassador to Negus, the King of Ethiopia."

We took our youth group to a youth conference this past weekend and one of the pastors was talking about a girl that was so full of the Lords presence that she was just weeping uncontrollably and speaking in tongues and the teacher told her to go to the bathroom and do whatever she needed to do to "fix" herself. Two of her friends went in there to check on her and they too were filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in tongues and weeping. Then, it spread all over; there were 60 people full of the Holy Spirit. I was wondering if anyone else heard that and if so, is there a website with that info on it, or a newspaper? Also, it was the same day as the Virginia Tech Massacre.

have to use spiritual terrorism and threats of burning in hell forever and ever to attract and keep followers?? Why would an all powerful diety be saddled with such pettyness as vindictiveness and jeolousy ie: thou shalt not worship anyone but me or you shalt burn in hell forever and ever" ?? I'm just curious.

Another semester is about to begin and once again I am applying for scholarships financial aid to pay for the exorbitant tuition and book fees. Everytime I do a scholarship or grant search it always kind of gets under my skin that there are NUMEROUS opportunities available to ONLY one race/ethnicity or another...and nothing directed exclusively for mine. I don't mean to be whining. I truly feel like I'm being slighted and like I'm the victim of a societal double standard. What do you think? Am I alone on this? What do you think can possibly be done to make scholarship/grant opportunites available for everyone to qualify for?

Im just wondering because of course we hear about the crimes of some churches that were sexually based.
Compared to other countries the US is extremely opressed (I know many will argue, but I assure you it is true when you look at other countries) yet despite this we have a much higher sex crimes rate then these countries.
Some of your largest serial rapist/murderers stated that growing up they were in very conservative households where sex was considered sin and not discussed.
Just wondering if this sexual opression may in some way distort people's view on sex.
Any thoughts?
