Repent - ask God's forgiveness, He is 100% always faithful to forgive
Talk to your pastor, spend as much time with him as possible, you become like the people you spend time with
Spend time every day reading your Bible - I know sometimes it seems like just words, I've been there, but the Word does not return void - it ALWAYS accomplishes the purpose it was set out for. If you go to www.crosswalk.com, click on "Bible study tools", you can access a daily reading plan. That way you don't have to sit staring at the Bible wondering what to read.
Speak to God from your heart, talk to Him the way you talked to us. Forget about eloquence; something as simple as "Father I don't even know what to say but I miss You" is a prayer. "Lord help me" is a prayer. "God I want to be what You want me to be but I just don't know how" is a prayer. In fact, "God, my life doesn't reflect the life of a saint. I cant pray, words just a are not there. I live on the couch of a worldly gay guy because I cannot get, or hold a job. It seems I have put my finance before You. I think I have ruined her spiritual life as well. I just don't see anything in my life that reflects the life of Christ. I go to church where the pastor is a true man of God as well as the other members. I know what the truth is and certainly know that I was defiantly saved at the beginning. But it seems that no matter how hard I try, my life does not improve and I do not come any closer to You. And if I am not living a Godly life before You...there really is no point in continuing." - that's a prayer too.
He is a rewarder of those who seek Him - what do you think is the reward? The reward is what you seek: Him.
Email me if you want to talk.

My friend, sometimes life throws a lot of stuff at us and we don't know which way is up. Don't be disheartened, you say you have accepted Christ that is the most important decision of your life! Even if you had a great job and a nice house WITHOUT Jesus, you would be in a much worst state spiritually than you are right now. You may need a prayer partner(someone you trust) from your church to help you through this tough time. The Lord will also help you sort out the sexual stuff don't let that stop you from praying, just continue to pray HONESTLY to the Lord and you will gradually come out of the situation. God Bless.

I can actually relate to this a lot right now.
I find it hard to pray most days now. I'm living at home with my parents right now after graduating from college, and I'm trying to find a job. I've been searching for nine months and have had no luck. I feel like I'm not following Christ at all, and that I continue to make mistakes. I don't even go to a regular Sunday church service right now, I just attend a college age group (which is similar to a regular church service) with a great pastor and great friends.
Remember that as long as you believe in Jesus Christ, you are saved. Just keep looking to God for help. Keep trying to find a job and try to follow God. You can't lose your salvation just becaue you keep sinning. You still regret the sins, so it shows that God is still with you.
God loves you, and just because he doesn't provide something right away doesn't mean he doesn't love you. This world is a horrible place and we just have to look forward to the day we will be with God. I wish I could give you a definite answer, but I can't. It's frustrating to just be told that "God has a plan". I know the atheists will tear this apart, but you just have to have faith. Keep searching and keep trying. That's about all I can say.

This is probably the most answers I've seen on a question in a long time... People from ages 1-18 are mostly forced to believe what their parents believe. Most anyway. Even so, kids start to adventure and get into other beliefs. I have done this. The more I look into religion, the more I get kinda of confused. I'm also blind to the fact that anyone cares that much about one others sexuality. Now, homophobes are saying that its annoying how homosexuals are "pushing their sexuality in everyone's faces". Well, not really. People are also saying, "I don't see why its a big deal." Isn't it weird? Even some homosexuals have said this. It's a loop kinda. It is a personal preference to share sexual preference. Aren't most of us all for preferences here? Homophobes make it a personal preference to hate gay people. One can even say that God has made preferences too. Our "father" has decided to "love" all of us by "making us stronger". He's "making us stronger" by creating others that are hateful towards us. Then, to make things worse, if you commit suicide, you will not inherit the kingdom of "our father". If he is our father, he is a dead beat. But, who am I to talk? I'm only 14. Also, I've jumped like ten different subjects, didn't answer your question, and critiqued God. I think he created homosexuals to convey that he is saying, "The bible is not my word." Perhaps there are terrible people because He has closes his eyes to his children at play.

lose yourself in service of others. Then everything else will fall into place. Scripture says that when you are in the service of your fellow man, you are in service with God. You don't have to go to Africa to fight aids- you can do little things each day. Make it a goal to do one selfless thing a day- and i promise your whole life will turn around. Whether it be to let a car pass you without getting angry, help a struggling mother with her bags or stroller, mow someones lawn, pick up trash when you see it- etc. These little things can make a huge impact on your life if you make a concious effort. Reach out to your community- that's what's christlike-helping others and being selfless- and it will make a bigger change in your life than sitting in on a sunday service every week. I promise! keep your head up, things will turn around if you make an effort. But a great life and a great attitude don't just get handed to you. Your boss wouldn't pay you if all you did was show up and did nothing. Why should Gods rewards be any different?

Hey don't listen to Craig R. You don't need to talk to a pastor or a preist. You can do that later if you want, but for now, talk to Jesus. Ask him to change your life. Show him everything you have and let him look after it. Have a burning passion to get to know him. If you read the Bible and put your trust in him, He will turn your life around. He died so that you could live for eternity. Why don't you make the most of the opportunity. Go into a room by yourself, close your eyes and just talk to God. Tell him about your day. Ask him questions. Tell him about your problems and he will make you a new man. I wish you the best of luck.

There is a point. This is earth before heaven appears, and we are in the age of long-suffering, which comes to its end as we overcome the world. Keep focused on doing good, and never evil and giving your light to the needy. This is a Godly life and others will see your light shining regardless of your present hardships, and will benefit from this demonstration. It is a big job, so just do one day at a time.

You already took the first step. that is more than what some people ever do in their life time. Spiritual growth takes time just like physical growth. We have all been there, keep going to church and learning about God. You will find your way. God understands us all, talk to him like if he's a normal person, he doesn't need fancy words. Ask him to help you grow closer to him and lead a righteous path... it takes time but it will come. God is faithful. Don't loose hope and Cheer up! Jesus Loves You :)

God doesn't call us to be saints. God calls us to be servants. He calls us to be loving neighbors & faithful stewards. Prayer is the simplest thing in the world. You talk to God just like you would a friend or earthly father. You don't have to use "thee's" & "thou's." God doesn't care about formality or how you're dressed or where you live or if you have a job. He cares about your heart. He cares about your soul. He cares about your sincerity. We all have bad times, even horrible times. I'm just coming through one myself. The Bible says God will not place on us more than we can bear. So, I figure I must be a lot stronger than I give myself credit for. You too. If your Pastor is a man of God as you say then you can go to him & tell him of this struggle. He will help you or point you in the right direction to people who can. Why in the world would you give up now? That leaves no light at the end of the tunnel. No hope. God is the ONLY way out of this. He is your only hope. To abandon Him now would be spritual suicide. Are you willing to trade eternity for self-pity over this test you are going through?! Life does not become perfect because we get saved. In fact, in many ways, it seems to get harder. Because Satan has lost you & is fighting to win you back. Because God wants us to turn to Him, to trust Him & to have FAITH in Him in ALL struggles & trials. To bail out now gives the victory to Satan. If you stick to the course you WILL come out of this, I promise, and you will be a better & stronger person for it. I have let God down many times but He has never let me down. Choose you this day whom you will serve.

well, do as David did, he seeked the prescence of the Lord many times through prayer. Just seek the Lord. most of the times, i don't pray to the Lord. well, i don't call it prayer because prayer is a form of spiritual communication with God. but, unlike other prayers, i just talk to the Lord (of course not expecting an immediate response) but i just communicate and tell him whats on my mind, repentence, bringing your sins up front. repent and turn back to Christ. ask the faithsul, strong members of the church to pray for you. ask for help from the Pastor, and set things aside for a while, grab your bible and communicate with the Lord, ask him for his guidance. get a day off from everything. job, watching T.V, getting on the computer, etc. replace all those unimportant things with reading the word of the Lord. and Communicating with him. just speak to him, just as you would speak with anyone else, and ask for his guidance throu
