One of my many favorites is the about Amethyst & Dionysius:
A story of misdirected rage and the poor girl , whose name is Amethyst paid the price.

Midas with the Golden Touch which was also compliments of Dionysius: Midas learned that there were other things more important in life than gold, it almost cost him his only child, a daughter when he turned her into gold.

Medusa: this story shows the danger of entering into a relationship with someone, whose heart belongs to another. The price she paid was her lost beauty and the chance to ever be loved by anyone. For onelook at her turned a man into stone.

Narcissus: This story shows how conceit over one's appearance that causes them to prefer admiring themselves over anything else can result in something unexpected and perhaps unwelcome. In this case he was turned into a beautiful water flower.

I like Jesus' parable where he and some apostles are at the temple and watching people put money into the poor box. Some put a few pieces of gold, some a couple pieces of silver.
An old woman puts in the equivalent of a couple of pennies. Jesus says that she put in more than all the others. The apostles ask how this is possible since she put in so little and the others put in so much more. Jesus replied that the others put in from their surplus, but the old lady put in all that she had.

I love the story of Orpheus - I think it's beautiful and heartbreaking. Guess the moral is just to follow the rules... but it also teaches something about the strength of love, and also our weaknesses while IN love.
