Uh, well, let's see.... he was jewish. Maybe a synagogue?

Rabbis of the time taught often on shabbos- mostly in their homes or local town centers, squares. under a shady tree etc- it all depended on the time of year and their facilities. Considering Jesus was not recognised by the Jews, and had no official capacity or place, it was most likely out in a field or such- that is why the sermon on the mount is there, on a mount instead of anywhere officiial. This is yet another thing about Judaism that the New testament gets wrong- teaching people on Shabbos is encouraged- it is a day for cementing our relationship with God- what beeter way than by learning Torah! In fact, Jesus wa sprobably trying to emulate the Rabbis by doing so- he wasn't one, and most likely wanted to get the recognition that would earn him the title, but for that he had to have a large following and be an acknowledged expert- and for that he had to teach to gain followers! But as the incident with his followers reaping food from the field on shabbos shows- the only people he attracted were those ignorant in the laws, which explains why he was never granted the title of rabbi by the Sanhedrin!

Despite the claim of the Pharisees, Jesus’ work is not of the type forbidden by Sabbath law. His work of preaching and healing is an assignment from God, and in imitation of God’s example, he keeps on doing it daily. However, his answer makes the Jews even angrier than they were before, and they seek to kill him. Why?
It is because now they not only believe that Jesus is breaking the Sabbath but consider his claim of being God’s personal Son to be blasphemy. However, Jesus is unafraid and answers them further regarding his favored relationship with God.
Jesus said that he was “Lord of the sabbath,” and many of his cures were performed on the Sabbath day. (Matthew 12:8-13.

"then they went to capernaum,and immediatly on the sabbath he taught.
v22...and they were astonished at his teaching,for he taught them as one who has authority,and not as the scribes.
