I mean my sister has a boyfriend, and besides, I'm not sure if it'd be okay for her. Plus, he's my friend, but I don't want him for my sister (even if she didn't have a boyfriend) because the guy is so naive.

Ask her if she wants him to have it first, tell her your concerns and go from there.

No you shouldn't especially since she already is seeing someone. In the future if someone expresses interest in your sister, you ask her first if it would be all right to give her number. Why inflict someone on her she has no interest in? Tell your friend she has a boyfriend and leave it at that.

Usually if someone asks me for someone elses #, I usually just ask them to give me theirs so I can pass it on to my sister, friend or whoever. This way, the person that might not want to be bothered can decide if they want to make contact or not. Another way to do this is to ask your sister if it would be alright to give her number...if she says no, then just tell your friend she has a boyfriend.

Is your sister capable of making her own decisions? if so, why dont you ask her if she would like for him to have her number, it doesnt mean she will marry the guy or anything, and it would let you have another way to keep an eye on her, and who knows, they may be great friends, and in case she got in trouble she may not call you, but she would possibly call a friend....

noooooo... don't do it. even if your sister was single, you should ask her if it is okay to give her phone number to this guy... it is HER choice. What if he is a stalker? what if he calls and her boyfriend thinks SHE gave out the number? Don't do it.... politely tell him that she has a boyfriend and you don't feel comfortable giving out her number. If he wants her to call him, you will deliver the message and number and it is up to her to decide... but you aren't going to hand out her number to anyone... ever.

Respect your sister's privacy. It is the right thing to do.

No, simply tell him she has a boyfriend and period. Don't even tell your sister. Respect your brother in law...
but keep an eye on your friend when you are all together and don't let him be "cute"with your sister. He need to respect that she's your sister.

No... don't give him your sisters phone number.

A man should have the decency to ask for it himself. She might not want him to have it. If he wants to make friends, let him make friends himself.

besides... she has a boyfriend already. I'm sure he knows that... he doesn't need use you for her number so he can get in between her relationship.

Use that number to call your sister. Ask her whether or not she wants this friend to have her number. Do what your sister tells you.

Just tell him that your sister already has a boyfriend and she would not appreciate you giving him her phone number.

Tell your friend your sister is seeing someone else and you don't make a practice of giving out her number. If he doesn't accept that, get him in a headlock and apply a double noggin scruff.
