I am 33 y/o I will be 34 in Mach 2008. I am single with no children. I am self-employed( I work from home) and generate a nice income. I currently reside in Chicao with a very high cost of living. For ex. for $400K you can buy a 2br apartment without parking.........He's my problem.............I would like to move to Dallas,Texas(North suburb to be exact) becaue I can purchase a 5 br/4 1/2 bath/3 car gagare for around $265K. I have already seen home like this in gated communities that are complete with a golf course. Not that I would buy a home this big since it's only me,but just to give you an idea of what you get for your money. Do I move and start my business over,which would take me about 3 years to hit my current income level or should i just stay in Chicago and not relocate?
If I do relocate it would be towards the end of next year(2008)

SIDENOTE: I am a Certified Machinery Equipment Appraiser. Plenty of work in any city as long as there are banks and machinery and equipmen

Let's ignore the fact that Darwin did not develope the Theory of
Evolution, (just for information purposes it was the principles of Natural Selection that he proposed) where did you hear/read that Darwin recanted. I'm about to get my BS in Biology and in my entire educational career I have never heard of this, I have breifly read a biography on Darwin. So please inform me as to where you get your information about this, because I have found several sites that claim this without proof, and I've found several that claim his recanting was just a hoax. my bf said he heard something about there being three anti christ before the end of times.. but i only heard of one.. now i know the whole 666 thing.. that he will bare that mark.. and some say he will be in the world of politics.. he thinks the first 2 have come and gone.. hilter..and the other one i cant think of at the moment.. does the bible speak of three..if so where is it in the bible so i can look it up

As christians we don't worship idols, the Bible is a holy book, but if someone wants to desacrate it (& muslims will do that) we don't take it as a personal offence to God just a stupid act by someone

"I believe in one God." Those are words of the Apostle's Creed. We know from the scriptures that God is one don't we? Over the centuries, Israel's faith was able to manifest and deepen realization of the riches contained in the revelation of the divine name, "I Am who Am." I am specifically asking Catholics, but any Christian opinion is welcome.

I am discerning the Diaconate and need to find a spiritual director. How do I find one and what should I look for? What will this person do for me, specifically. Also, should this person not be a member of my parish, since the archdiocese will be asking my parish, or does it matter?

Any advice you can offer will be greatly appreciated.

300 years after Christ the early church scourred the middle east, Europe and Africa looking for ancient documents, which they gathered up, authenticated, sorted out, debated what should and should not be included to create this Book we call the Bible and then copied it all painstakingly by hand. All a monumental and time consuming task, not the easiest thing to do. At the time most people couldn't read or write, very few Bibles would have been in existance and the church was not to know that so many of us would become literate. Christianity had followed an oral tradition and continued even after the Bibles creation. So why did they decide to create a Bible?

God gave the scientists the knowledge and ability to prove the world is millions of years old (if not billions) yet christians (who claim that god itself gave these people their abilities) won't believe it?

when their son/daughter is on a mission, with the new living arrangements and all?
It seems to me that would be a big cost savings for the church and they would be able to reduce the monthly amount.
It could easily be covered by tithing money.

I was reading the Bible the other day and came across the passage whens Jesus says that only in his hometown is a prophet not welcome...or something like that.

What's bothering me is that he called himself a prophet. I feel like at some parts of the Bible Jesus is undoubtedly the Son of the Trinity, and at others he is just a prophet like John the Baptist. Can someone help?

IT'S RUDE TO CALL GOD ANOTHER NAME BESIDES GOD in DEFINITION. We are God's children. We should call him GOD, cause we are no equal to GOD saying GOD's name is like being equal to GOD.

The Pope just made a decree allowing greater use of mass in Latin. Are the modernized Catholics willing to go to a Mass in which you have to kneel to receive Holy Communion, listen to Latin, not clap, not shake hands and kiss each other, hear the organ or other suitabe musical instruments instead of guitars...etc..?

I'm Catholic & have heard from the Church & the Bible that children are gifts from God. Also that we all have a purpose; that we're all part of God's plan. Also things like, 'children don't choose their parents, God chooses them for them'. I know couples that try to conceive for yrs & can't & wonder why God won't let them. Then there are people that have 6 kids, are on drugs, alcohol & beats or even kill their children. And others that get pregnant every time they have sex & get abortions because they aren't ready to be a parent yet. My list goes on.

My problem/question is: "Children are a gift from God". God wants us to be married & conceive children from our love. I wasn't conceived that way. Am I a "gift" from God or am I here becuz my parents had drunken sex?

I know God loves me and every person. He started mankind with Adam and Eve. But after Adam and Eve, aren't we just here becuz of sex and if our bodies can function correctly? I'd like your honest input. Thank you!
