God would like it.
IT'S RUDE TO CALL GOD ANOTHER NAME BESIDES GOD in DEFINITION. We are God's children. We should call him GOD, cause we are no equal to GOD saying GOD's name is like being equal to GOD.
exp.
It's like having your kids calling you by your first name if your an adult as a parent. Would you like it? Bob? Bobby?

At least most children KNOW the name of their parents! God is a title, like Dad. Most people do not know God's name even though they claim to have worshiped Him all their lives.

Does anyone not see a problem here?

An older friend of mine was a seminary student for several years. He told me one day a JW visited him and showed him Psalms 83:18. He was stunned! He was an adult in theological seminary and had never been taught or shown that! Then he thought, What else has been hidden from me? So, he left.

The theme of the Bible is for all mankind to praise His name. And people can't get past a TITLE??? In whatever language, in English, it is Jehovah as the most popular pronunciation or Yahweh. The important point is to use it.

Because the name is so important.

Many times through the Bible, it's mentioned, prayed for, and told, that God's Name will be sanctified.

King James Version. Pre 1987
Psa 83:18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.

There are many names for God and Jesus- Father, King, Lord, Abba father- which actually is translated daddy. Prince of Peace, counselor, etc etc. There are many= look up in a Bible concordance. There are times when I am worshiping and praying to Him, that I call upon Him as Father, sometimes as my Strength, sometimes as the Prince of Peace- that is not being sacrilegious- He tells us to call Him those names.

When will people understand- GOD is not a NAME it is a DESCRIPTIVE TERM.
My kids don't call me 'parent' nor do they call me by my first name, not that this is even related to the question.

And did he tell you his name was GOD. And how is that pronounced in the various languages and dialects of the world. I don't think he worries about what we call him or refer to him as long as we call out to him and give him reverence and glory
