Hey what up? I'm a white guy pretty laid back without much problems with anyone. I just moved to a neighbothood with alot of black folks. I'm wanting to be cool and make friends but I'm worried that this community may have a prolem with me being white. I havent got much from my neighborhood leading me to think I'm disliked or liked. Except for one time some rough neck looken dueds started callen me honkey infront the local store but I went over to see what was up and they were cool. So whats up can act normal around black folk without them haven aprolem with me.

Jehovah Witnesses warn against paganism- "PAGAN HOLIDAYS", "PAGAN RITUALS"- and it's true! Many holidays- INCLUDING CHRISTMAS- are pagan. But how many of them know that their creator was a big time pagan in the secret occult world? Charles Taze Russell was fascinated with mythology and pyramids , so much so that he picked out a tombstone for himself that's a pyramid.

He also predicted that the world would end in 1914, well, we are still here- the bible warns against- FALSE PROPHETS.

Your response- and save the emotional rhetoric, it just shows extra insecurity in your faith.

And for the record I am Christian- but you cannot dig up my creator- Jesus Christ.

I see this word used all the time in this section. It is SOOOO negative!

The word TOLERATE is defined as 'put up with something or somebody unpleasant'.

Is there not a better word we can use for accepting that other people are entitled to their beliefs too?

I thought of using 'accept' - but that implies to me that you 'sort of' believe what they believe too.

If you can refute please do I am interested But only serious answers please!
1)Everything that had a begining had a cause
2) The universe had a begining
3) Therefore, the universe had a cause.
As to the personality of the first cause
1)The universe had a first cause
2)This first cause's act to create was either determined, undetermined,or self determined.
3) But it can not be determined because there is nothing before the first cause
4)neither can it be undetermined since that is contrary to the principal of causality
5) Hence, the act to create must have been self determined.
Please give clear reasoning to why( if you do ) disagree.

The Bible says to stay away from Idolatry.
Exodus 20:4,5
Leviticus 26:1
2 Corinthians 6:16
I John 5:21
Jeremiah 10:14,15
Isaiah 44:13-19
Ezekiel 14:6
Ezekiel 7:20
When you do the plegde of alligence you are trusting your life with it. A form of worship. When Armaggedon comes is a piece of cloth going to save you? Do you know when you do the pledge to ANY flag you are commiting idolatry?

The Qu'ran says Jesus is the Messiah...How is this different than other prophets? Isaiah said the Messiah would atone for sin. Chrsitians believe the Messiah atoned for sin. Why do Muslims believe God needed to send the Messiah? How is The Messiah different from the other prophets?

And why does that church still refer to them as "the three" and "the seven" witnesses if they changed their minds and claimed to no longer want to go along with a lie? How many new converts are told of this mind changing when being told of the witnesses?
Don't tell me that they did not change their minds unless you are prepared to prove it. The burden of proof is on the naysayer. For the sake of brevity, I do not include references but I will if I have to for the sake of anyone non-LDS to see. I feel LDS's do not usually research facts they do not want to know anyway.

I am the youngest and newest person on my team at work. I was put in charge about 1.5 years ago when my manager left. I had great friendships with everyone on our team and didn't have many problems with anyone being jeolous or upset that I was left in charge. I have been told by others that I am viewed as a great manager. I care, I respect, and I work with my people. I have one employee that has been here the longest but she is older and insanely slow. She makes alot of mistakes but I have been very patient and have taught her time and time again how to avoid these mistakes. She is very moody and takes everything as a personal attack. Many times she is pissed off at me for the smallest of things, and most of the time I don't even know what she is mad at me about. I have tried talking to her, but I always get upset because she refuses to tell me what is wrong, yet she is visibly annoyed by my presence. I am tired of dealing with this tension EVERYDAY. What should I do?

Why is it that so many people are extremely against religion? In my opinion this is just as "bad" as the people they detest...the "Bible thumpers." I understand being upset at religious groups for imposing morals that others don't agree with..but why is there so much intolerance? To give more insight I am not associated with any religion, and my beliefs really don't fit one specific religion. Sigh...anyway, just curious after reading a lot of seemingly angry responses on here...

The "New Testament": Pagan revenge

Between G-d's own miracles and the Jewish teaching of His Word, the pagan priesthoods of Egypt, Greece, and Rome were steadily losing their power over the gentile populations. They decided to fight back by creating a new religion, one that would claim to be the fulfillment of the Hebrew "Old Testament," yet would bring back the pagan lies in a new disguise.

Thus the "New Testament" was written, in Greek rather than Hebrew, and attached to the original Hebrew scriptures to try to change their meaning back toward paganism.

The "New Testament" tried to change G-d from One, as in the Hebrew scriptures, into a "trinity" as in Egyptian cults or the eastern religions of Hinduism and Buddhism. It described Jesus as G-d in a human body, like the pagans always described Pharoah and other wicked kings. It declared G-d's Law to be a "curse" that no one can truly obey, announced that there must be a "mediator" between G-d and man, and pretended that salvation could now be achieved outside the Law.

To blind the gentile nations, the "New Testament" also warned people not to learn from the Jews, declaring that Israel no longer possessed the true, complete Word of G-d.

In the Bible, the book of Daniel warned of an evil power--a false religion--that would believe in the true "G-d of fortresses... plus a god its fathers did not know." This religion would "speak bizarre words about the Most High, wear out the holy ones (the Jews), and plan to change the festivals and the religious Law."7 The Christian Church has indeed replaced Passover with Easter (the pagan holiday of Astarte and Ishtar) and Hanukah with Christmas (the pagan winter holiday).

Since then, Christian paganism has expanded to include Christmas trees, Easter eggs, and so forth.

A bible is a collective of laws, events, judgements, etc. that certain people have complete faith in. Our US Constitution and Declaration of Independence aren't much different. My point is that everyone believes in something higher. You see many politicians, no Uncle Sam. Many ministers...you get the point. Is there a such thing as a nonbeliever?

Do they ever think about all those other gods and wonder if they've really chosen the right one? I mean, how could they know, right? What if they chose the wrong god and the wrong meaning to life? I think that, if I chose the wrong god, I'd be suicidal.
