I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into hell.
On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen.

My question is to people of all religions.

There are many Christians, Jews, Muslims, Mormans, and people of many other faiths who believe that only those who are part of their faith will have salvation. They cite certain passages from their own sacred and holy texts. And indeed, if they take these texts literally than it may be logical to believe this.

But as we become more enlightened and educated, isn't it harder to accept these kind of teachings? Would a loving God reject people from spending eternity with Him just because they joined the wrong Church? (or Mosque or Sunagogue or temple)?

I am a Christian. But I think that God has the power to grant salvation to any good person.

I would be interested to hear what others think about this.

The idea of the Trinity is contradictory and can't be explained and pastors cannot explain it. They just tell their followers to 'just believe it and have faith' or 'there's just some things we won't understand til we get to heaven'. Using this base they get people to completely let go of their logic and reason and do not do critical thinking when they read the Bible. Whenever they come across a verse that contradicts their church teaching the pastor's just give some casual remark and blow it off. The word Trinity is not in the Bible and its time for people to start using reason and logic when reading the Scriptures because the Scriptures are not supposed to contradict themselves.

I've been studying palm reading, and, when looking at my own palm, I've noticed that the fate line continues up and joins with the heart line underneath my middle finger, which continues up between my middle and index finger. What does this mean?
The fate line has a slight break where it meets the head line before continuing. It is already fairly deep, but definitely becomes deeper as it joins with the heart line.

If people believe that Intelligent Design (ID) should be taught as an alternative to the Theory of Evolution on the basis of evolution being just a theory, wouldn't it be extremely hypocritical to teach the Theory of Gravitation as fact. Shouldn't Intelligent Falling (IF) be taught as an alternative to gravitation as well? After all, gravitation is a theory, just like evolution.
We should also look for "Intelligent" alternatives to a whole lot of other theories (Acoustic Theory, The Theory of Relativity, Atomic Theory and Circuit Theory for instance).

American science is not the end all and do all. Any mook that figures out how to make some kind of fancy energy shield, super duper blaster gun, and futuristic medical technology could masquerade as GOD for at least a couple of years.

Our arrogance and pride in ourselves could very easily blind us to the fact that we are not the most advanced beings in existence. And if we ever are visited by such a being.... Hell, if the US military is developing the appropriate technology as we speak..... I don't know.

If women usually have more insulating fat on their chests than males and women during their lifecycles usually enter stages where they need quick excess to their breasts to feed their young (a phase men do not go through) and breasts are only secondary sex characteristics (like beards and under arm hair) why is it required in so many cultures that women cover their breast under penalty of law while their male counter parts can go shirtless?
It irritaes me that I sit melting in my shirt at The baseball game while guys all around me are stripped to the waist. I don't want to go to jail but it is so lame that I don't have the same right even though these heavy things aren't sex organs?
What do we women need to do? Start having "Breast-Ins" (like the sixties "sit-ins" protests?

What can women in our culture do to change this bias?

so i was debating with this guy about religion and whatnot. he continued to talk about reptilians, or reptile people, and how they are real because the past tells us so. he rambled about how the government worships the devil and the reptilians and how we are living in the matrix. i tried to hold an intelligent debate with this person up until that point. finally, i couldn't take it anymore and i told him he was crazy and stopped responding.

the dumbest thing anyone ever said to you in a conversation or something you overheard someone say that amused you and made you think they are really dumb.

for me, it was hearing someone say that they know you can catch cancer from drinking out of the same coke-bottle as someone who has cancer.
