American science is not the end all and do all. Any mook that figures out how to make some kind of fancy energy shield, super duper blaster gun, and futuristic medical technology could masquerade as GOD for at least a couple of years.
Our arrogance and pride in ourselves could very easily blind us to the fact that we are not the most advanced beings in existence. And if we ever are visited by such a being.... Hell, if the US military is developing the appropriate technology as we speak..... I don't know.

Been there done that.
Actually, if you haven't already found it and are interested; go read up on ultrasonic sound...there are some things out there already that are interesting...they can make people think they hear things; people can knock things off tables through walls, etc.
I found these things while I was researching sound in general because spirits tend to run on ultrasonic wavelengths...but also, infrasonic will do weird crap like make the water in you eyes vibrate so you think you're seeing things.
Infrasonic can also make you nauseated, headache, etc...and waves give off infrasonic naturally.

Anything man made is fallible, God is not. Anything designed by man can be understood by man, but much of God's creation is not fully understood, or misunderstood, by man. And anyone who claims to be God will be eventually found out to be less than perfect.
