I lost my daughter in an auto accident a few weeks ago and I can feel her hand in mine sometimes some people say that I need therapy but I really do believe she is here with me to help me get through this.

Yes I don't think death is the end of us and I do believe our loved ones can return when we really, really need some help.

Awww! I'm really sorry about that. Sure you're going thru bad times. But don't worry - "All things will come to pass" and you'll soon get over with it.
Anyway, that belief - that the spirit of the dead continues to dwell with the living are just part of paganism. It's not like that. The teaching of the Bible is very clear. Once a person died, the body goes back to dust where it came from, and the spirit (the BREATH) goes back to God who gave it.
Everythng you feel, smell, or whatever, in relation to the dead loved one, are just mere memories of him/her stored in our brains. Depressions, anxieties, etc. triggers this memories to release mixed images, or even smells related to the dead loved one. This fact also shatters the beliefs about "ghost". Ghost are spirits, same as God being a spirit. If we have the capability to see ghost, then there's no reason we cannot see God, who is also a spirit. All these pagans beliefs were not eradicated by christianity. It was just the product of the "great mixture" between paganism and christianity - which we call the Roman Church today.
I suggest you stop believing in all these lies and learn to accept your lost. Hope that your daughter will awake to eternal salvation when the judgment day comes. This way, you will do yourself a favor and live a joyful life. What GONE is GONE. We cannot do anything for the dead, instead, harm ourselves. Okey?
Again, I am sorry about you lost, Brother. May the Good God grant you peace of mind from the TRUTH.

I think it possible that the departed can leave a sign that they r fine and then they go on to another place, but I also think if the loved one`s spirit lingers long after death, they r not at rest due to some unfinished deed that has not been taken care of by those that remain behind.

It is written clearly that no dead have any dealings with the livings, they are in a state of sleep and in a seperate place, awaiting the resurection and judgement, they don't see us or hear us and they are certainly not with us at all. But satan and the devils will pretend to be our loved ones. I know, I use to be in the occult and I have chased such demons that have taken the "figure" of dead loved ones. The minute I pronounced the name Jesus in their face, they freaked and disappeared.
What ever signs you may feel/see/hear, it is not from her, I assure you. But that's what satan want's us to believe. He has a specific design in mind for doing this, it is not for the good but for your own loss.
I believe you are having a hard time (who wouldn't) since you lost your daughter, pray to the Lord, He will help you, help in the healing process. Yes they do. She is with you. However, therapy is not a bad idea. You are grieving right now and a good therapist can help you to get through that. Your daughter would want you to process your grief in a manner that was healthy for you.

Haven't really heard from one yet unless you are emotionally over wrought to the point of making up signs . for instance after my brother died I saw a white pigeon or dove perched in the parking lot at work and wanted to believe it was a sign but I came to my senses and realized the foolishness of this.

yes I do and they do leave signs.I think they are in a different dimension and are energy beings.they have been heard on answering machines and cause lights to flicker.my grand mother saw a little girl run around her bed and when she described her someone knew her when she was alive.

Most certainly, when I can smell my grandmother's perfume (the only one she used} or when I have to tackle a hard job in the house my father's hand is there to guide me.
