All the redeemed brothers and sisters in Christ from the early church to now are saints of God and of Christ Jesus.
Paul addressed the believers as saints ... the Bible in the book of revelation says in the very last verse these precious words.. "The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all the saints amen.."
This is a real treasured title to all the dear brothers and sisters and is not for a special elite group of believers. We are all saints in the eyes of the Lord and he values us as such.

By definition, a saint is a person who has accepted Jesus, a born again christian, an elect, so anyone who has done so is a saint. And a saint is a status given on the living, no one become a saint after death. for only the saints will enter the kingdom of heaven. The minute you honnestly accept Christ as your Saviour and Lord, you're a saint... I'm a saint and so is my husband.

Over the ages:
God has sent 124,000 Prophets to man.
God has sent a multitude of saints to aid mankind.
How many "True Human Beings", are here on earth as we speak, less than a hand full!

I find that very disheartening!

A good estimate would be around 1-2000.

*of coarse all sincere followers of Jesus Christ are saints. The figure above is the estimated number of canonized Catholic saints.*

All who accept Jesus and repent of sin are considered saints.
" for sin is a transgression of the law"
There is some repenting to be done also.
