Would you rather live in the country or city? Why?
I have feeling that most of you will pick the city, but I'm telling you there's more to life then stores...

Wow,Most of your really suprised me! I thought you would all pick the city! But I am in total agreement with you,I LOVE the country! I lived the city for my life until last when I moved to the country.I live outside a little town of about 2000 people.I love it! I will never go back!
Of course if everyone moved to the country it would no longer be the country! And all of those that we love being in the country would go away!

I was born in a city. I grew up in a city. For more than 30 years I lived in a city. Then I moved to the country. This is where I should have been born. This is where I'm supposed to be. I'll never move back.

I prefer the city for many reasons. Not for the malls, but to be closer to grocery stores, work, emergency services, etc.

My mother-in-law lives in the boonies, and I love going up there. But it's about 10 minutes to the only country store within 20-30 miles. I couldn't get used to not being able to drive down the street to the 7-11 if we ran out of milk or something. Or across the street to McDonald's for a late-night snack attack.

I have lived in the city (Phoenix, Arizona) and lived in the country...

I definately choose the country.. I like the wide open space, being able to let my 10 yr old play outside unsupervised because the worst trouble she can get into is falling and getting hurt.... I like kowing my neighbors in more than a "I think she lives in 3C " fashion... I like the slower pace here.. I like the fact that I can leave my purse in the car with the windows rolled down overnight and my purse and car are still there untouched in the morning... I like the fact that I haven't locked my front door (excluding locking it when we are going out for an extended trip) in 10 years.. I like that fact that I can sleep with frenchdoors to my bedroom standing wide open the screendoors latched with a hook and eye latch (to keep the cats from knocking it open) without worrying about who might come in... I like the fact that the last time my motion lights went on unexpectedly was because a group of deer were crossing the yard..

Yup I choose the country if I want to shop I can use the internet or drive the 100 miles to Reno..

I like living in the city because it offers more doctors, dentists, etc... I live to see nature in parks and by the lakes. Living in the country would be great only with a disabled person living with me I've got to use common sense and stay close to hospitals.
Now I agree there's more to life than stores. I don't go to the stores every day. I work and I do stuff I enjoy here at home. I only go to the store when I need to buy supplies...

In the country. I was born in the Smokies and raised in the Blue Ridge. Hunt when you want or just run the dogs. Fish. A lot of hard mind numbing work too, but there is always the dance on Saturday night. Girls, Fights, Whisky. Sit on the porch in the evening. If you live on a road you can wave to people in a car and they will wave back. Not many cars though. Not a lot to worry about because there is not too much that happens that you can't fix or patch up somehow. Lay on your back at night and look at the sky. Sit on the porch and watch it rain. Lots and lots of reasons to prefer it to the city.

The country!!!!! Cities are disgusting, full of crime, filth, and stupid shallow people who can't function without a Starbuck's on every corner.

Where I live the stars are bright, the trees are green, people are polite for the most part, and crime is practically non-existent. If I want to shop I do it online. Some people don't even lock their doors here. I would never live in a city.

Depends... depends on the city, depends on the country. If you're talking about a little town not near a huge city, yeah. If you're talking about a good city though, aka London, I'd totally live there.

obviously the city...there is more to a city than just stores...its the independence...you can walk around the corner to get whatever that you need instead of having to take out your car and drive 2 miles to get something as trivial as a gallon of milk... and all the public transportation makes it easier to travel around cheaply if you can't afford or just can't drive a car if you're under age...there are more opportunities in the city...for example if you are a high schooler and its summer and you just don't have anything to do..you can get a job at the corner store and make a couple of hundred dollars over a month or you can go to the local public library to check out some books if you're intrested in reading...you can easily meet up with your friends without having your "mom" drive you there....these are just some of the reasons why i didn't move to Indiana...its too suburban

I'm a city girl. I love the convenience, I love the people, I love being able to walk everywhere and I love the fact that something's always happening, day or night. I could visit the countryside, but living there permanently? I don't think so.
