As Yahoo is an open forum, anyone can post almost any question they want and i do have the option to read it or just ignore it which for me is great. I chose not to ignore this one because I wanted to make a comment on my observations.
Who are these individuals that are included in this group within these words , "As Christians we don't worship idols". Is this the so called Christians that call themselves Christians or does it also include those whom others call Christians? I ask this because I see many who call themselves Christians even carrying their Gods around on their shoulders in a parade or to a worship service. And I must say what I do see being carried is not a Bible.
In my view, which I do not insist you have as your view, I think it is best at times to remain silent about thoughts and certain opinions to avoid unnecessary disputes. Many in error consider a silent man as very wise and most do appreciate that others do have such a view of him.
If my view is incorrect, please do forgive me. As a "NO" I do admit I can be wrong OK
Do have a good day my friend.

Muslims do NOT worship the Qur'an or the Qib'la. We only bow down toward the Qib'la in the direction of Mecca. And the Qur'an is the Muslim holy book that was revealed by the angel Gabriel to Prophet Muhammad(PBUH*) in Mecca in Arabic and it has not been changed or altered like the original Torah that was revealed to Prophet Musa(PBUH*) and the original Injeel(bible) to Prophet Isa(PBUH*). We don't worship Prophet Isa(PBUH*) as GOD because Isa(PBUH*) never said he was God or the "Son" of God in the Injeel. It was only around 100 years ago that the Church decided that Isa(PBUH*) was God. The Qur'an can not be changed because ALLAH(SWT) has place HIS protection on the Qur'an to keep it from being altered or changed by man.

Christians worship Jesus, often portrayed in paintings and statues ... this would have been considered idol worship by the Hebrew man, Jesus.
but you'll never see a statue or a painting in a Muslim mosque portraying any living thing. mosque artwork is all patterns. that's how strict those folks are about idol worship.
PS. Christians ought not get into a "holier than thou" attitude. the history of Christianity is a blood soaked tome of "righteous" wrath on millions and millions of innocent people. get over yourselves, Xtians.

WHAT? Muslims worship Allah swt alone. The Quran is the book that was revealed on prophet Muhammad saws Muslims follow it and use it as a guide. Not worship it.
I wonder where you got that from

Woah, hold it there buddy. Muslims do NOT worship the Qu'ran! They ONLY worship Allah (God) and NONE else. Christians definitely come closer when it comes to worshipping anything other then God. They erect statues, paint paintings, and show various images of the Virgin Mary, Christ Jesus, his apostles, etc. Now THAT is idolatry. Your ignorance will get you absolutely nowhere, so good luck with it.
Can I ask: What have you been smokin'?

The Quran is highly respected because it is the Word of God. I guess Christians don't respect the Bible as they should, maybe because it is not truly God's word.

Remember the Dutch cartoon incident a while back where the cartoons made fun of Muhammad? Man, people went freakin crazy: death threats were issued, Dutch products were boycotted, and riots abounded. Hmm, I wonder what would happen if cartoons came out making fun of Jesus. I'm guessing a whole lot of.........nothing.

The Qur'an is a holy book, just as the Bible is. We don't worship it- we read it, study it and live by it.
