Marriage between races was never forbidden. The admonishment was to be equally yoked, or of the same faith, but plainly stated that was not cause for divorce. The God I serve is not concerned about mixed race marriages, I think the current divorce rate grieves Him, not color of skin.

While there are some references to race, that is not really the problem. The Old Testament speaks of the need to maintain purity. Thus it condemns Israelites who marry outside the faith with the races and nations around them. This was the sin that brought down King Solomon. It says that his many wives from foreign nations eventually caused him to worship idols.
Paul gives a similar warning about marrying outside the faith. I don't interpret either warning to be about races or bi-racial relationships. I believe that both talk about staying true to the faith and not marrying outside the faith.

Well, Moses married the priest's daughter of another culture.
Then Solomon was given virgins from different countries totaling 700 wives and 300 concubines.
The New Testament says in Colossians 3:11
"Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond [nor] free: but Christ [is] all, and in all."
Mary who you want IN CHRIST, my friend, but make certain there are not culture differences that may cause stress.
Blessings and AGAPE, Balaam
P.S.: I married a white OKIE--she's great!

Nothing condemning of such relationships. The fact is that there are many examples of such relationships in the Old Testament. My wife is not the same race as I and I have found it to be no different than any other marital relationship.

The Old Testament teaches that Jews should only marry Jews. It says nothing about anyone else, and neither does the NT.

Nothing. Some people use this misinterpretation to support racism. Unlike men, God sees hearts and minds not skin colors.

The only real race is the human race. So there's nothing wrong with loving another human being, no matter what color the skin is.
