OK... God is all do, all mighty, everything!! he has the power to do anything!!! ok well....can he create someone greater than him?? and if so ... can God still be almighty because he created someone better "geater" than him...and if not!!... then does Gods power have a limit??? and him not being almighty?

Atheist Richard Dawkins, writing in his new book, “The God Delusion,” claims that many of the world’s conflicts around the world are due to the murderous religious impulses. Columnist Robert Kuttner claims that “The Crusades slaughtered millions in the name of Jesus. The Inquisition brought the torture and murder of millions more. After Martin Luther, Christians did bloody battle with other Christians for another three centuries.”

The fact is that while religious wars have been fought for centuries, militant atheism has slaughtered more people than religious zealots ever have. The greatest mass murders in history have been committed not by Christians but by Communists Joseph Stalin and Mao Tse Tung. More than 100 million have died at the hands of these militant atheists since the early 20th century.

If you disagree can you please show me proof of your findings?

I heard somebody say earlier today that Atheists are just angry and unfriendly people who are mad that they never fit in , so we blame god for our misfortunes. After I stopped laughing and caught my breath I decided to post this question. What do you all think? Do you consider yourself an angry person? I would just like to hear your thoughts?

I've been working with Dave for the past 5 months. Recently, I moved into Dave's office for the past 3 weeks. My job has taken a load off of Dave. Dave is leaving his job. We have known this for the past 2 months.
Dave is a white male. Before Dave, Steve was doing the job and he is a white male. Before Steve, Jim was doing the job and he is a white male.

Now, they have hired John to fill Dave's job. John is a black male. I just met him yesterday. We are sharing the same office together. I like John, he is nice.

Today, I chatted with my supervisor, Bob. Bob is jewish male.
Bob is the first person to say this to me:

"Are you getting along with John. Now that you and John are sharing the same office room. John seems like a nice guy?"

Bob never asked me this before about Dave? I did not say anything negative about Dave.

Found it weird that Bob asked me about John.

What is your take? Why do you think Bob asked me about John? I think it was racially motivated.

I would say no. I am half White half Black. I have two sets of relitives Jewish Whites and my Black Baptist family.I can relate more to my Black heritage, However my Jewish side does get any breaks either.America is the land of opurtunity no matter what race you are. ,and too my black brothers ,if you think you have it bad try being Jewish....lol Ill stay Black ....thank you (above question please)

Edith once explained to Mike that Archie envied him his education and all the opportunities it gave him. Archie, of course, was the quintessential bigot.

I wonder: Is that a source of bigotry? -- a desperate, hopeless need to know why our lives are crappy, so desperate that any purely invented answer will be hungrily seized upon and used in place of true knowledge? (If you remember, Archie believed -- no, he "knew" some profoundly stupid stuff.)

Christians have had close to 2000 years now to demonstrate the benefits of "following Christ" but there doesn't seem to be any demonstrative difference in embracing the Christian doctrine over any number of other peaceful religions.

We warred on each other before Christ, we war on each other now. We had poverty, hunger, disease, oppression, murder, suicide, theft, and adultery before Christ, and we have these same exact problems today.

If we're going to advocate the adoption of a doctrine that is supposed to make life BETTER, shouldn't there first be some proof that this doctrine does, in fact, make life better before we make everyone convert?

The nations that have seen significant increases in the prosperity and happiness of billions of people - China & India - did so by dispensing contemporary knowledge and information to the populations, not Christianity. Former 3rd world nations now headed towards becoming global leaders, and Christ is nowhere to be found.

How is this possible?

First you have to understand what sin is and why there is death in the world. Sin was brought unto the earth through man. “Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned.”(Romans 5:12)

Here is God’s curse to us because of Adam: To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat of it,’ “Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field. By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.” (Genesis 3: 17-19) The earth was cursed because of the sin that Adam and Eve committed.

Sin is the cause of suffering. Without sin there is no suffering. Without the law there is no sin. So anything God says not to do is sin. Sin is lawlessness. Sin is simply rebelling against God. The effect of our rebelling against God is death and suffering. Sin was the biggest cancer that was brought on to the earth. Sin separates us from God. When we are separated from God we are cursed. Through the curse of our separation there is suffering and death. Now that you understand sin and death we will go on to why Jesus needed to die for us. Jesus lived a perfect life without sin. If a person sins they need a blood sacrifice to cover their sins. Jesus was without sin so he did not need a blood sacrifice for his sin. He was considered a perfect sacrifice to cover our sins. The bible says: “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”, (Romans 3:23) and “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23) So we deserve death for our sins, but Jesus took our punishment (curse) on the cross for us. When Jesus died for us on the cross our debt to God was paid in full. So to answer your question, His sacrifice covered our sins (with His blood that was shed on the cross), so God will find us innocent and not guilty on the Day of Judgment. “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.” (Colossians 1:13-14)
