Dear heart, 'eternity' is an awfully long time, longer even than Fundies imagine it to be. Not only will I NOT be there, neither will any dang body else. Dead is dead, and not so very long after you're buried, your bod begins to decay, et by maggots, moldy, and pretty much a bloody mess. Morticians have a way of making the corpse linger but they can only do so much. In, oh, a decade, all that's left is a scattering of bones, some rags, and a skull. And not even that little bit is gonna last 'eternity.' That's life, and folks who aren't awash in fantasy realize it, accept it, even feel glad. Life is over, the brain is dead and when the brain is dead...

I don't fear death, and understand I will have no choice as to what the experience of death will be.

I don't understand how the same people who say "We can never know God's plan" when someone dies tragically are the same who say, "I know exactly what God's nature is and what he wants from me."

I know that right this second I am a good person, and one day, like everyone else, I will die.

How could I be? I didn't choose out my burial plot yet. I don't even know which cemetary I will be buried in yet. I know that once I do or my family does, then that's where I will be spending eternity, unless I get cremated.

No I am not. I am realistic enough to know that no one will live forever and I am content with what I do now, letting eternity take care of itself.

Considering that eternity is right now, I guess that's OK with me.

Your choice is not appropriate and you can never choose where you will go for eternity. God will judge us where to go.

We are already in eternity. Its not something that starts when we die. That would be infinity. I think.
