Please don't suggest babelfish or anything like that to me; I already tried and even then I could not even get a basic idea of what the text said.

These are not very good Japanese sentences..... The choice of words are odd, and also, it is a piece out of larger group of sentences. Japanese refers to what was said earlier without making explicit references. Reading from middle is often difficult. That is why automated translators failed miserably.
