I did not always know that God existed.
However, I always felt that I was being nudged along to seek answers regarding life and death. I was not convinced by the answers that science gave. Even as a non-believer I could see through the holes in it's theories.
Looking back I see that God led me down a path the ultimately opened my eyes. I finally recognized that I was accountable to a higher power and I wasn't measuring up too good. My future was looking bleak.
Fortunately He made a way for me to improve upon this situation.
It is explained much better below:

YES ALWAYS - all praises and thanks to God (Alhamdulillah).
I did change paths along the way, from being a Christian to being a Muslim - alhamdulillah. But of course I worship the same and One and Only God (Allah).
Thanks for asking :)
--------------------------
There is only ONE Almighty God. Allah is the Arabic word for God and is thus used by Arab Christians and Muslims alike.
The word for God in Genesis 1:1 is elohim, which is a plural form of a more basic root hebrew word for God: eloh. The Aramaic word for God, according to the Lexicon offered at http://peshitta.org, is Alah.
Ref: http://www.jews-for-allah.org/Why-Believe-in-Allah/Allah-inthe-Jewish-Bible.htm
The God of Islam is the God of Muhammad, Jesus, Abraham, Adam, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, Noah, David, Enoch, Solomon, Zachariah, Job, John The Baptist, and other Bilblical/Quranic Prophets (peace be upon them all).
La ilaha illa Allah.

I was not raised with religious influences. I was introduced to Catholicism at the age of 8 and because of that, i was overwhelmed & VERY confused.
Most of my childhood, i didnt really think about it. I was just doing what i was told to do, without understanding it. I tried asking questions, but got in trouble for it.
.... Did i always believe in GOD?
I never did say that i have not ever believed in HIM, its just that its a question i cant just say yes to.
..... Now i do ALWAYS believe in GOD.
Alhamdulillah

I believed when I was a child, until I was a teenager...then I started asking questions that no one could/would answer, and I learned that even asking questions was not allowed or somehow was the work of Satan or some such nonsense...
I didn't appreciate that because both my faith AND my questions were sincere. My questions were along the lines of, how do we know we're practicing the right faith, when all these other religions also think they are the right one? All I'd get were Bible verses, and frankly, I wasn't impressed because all those other people had verses to quote too.
It was a hard transition, but now I'm very comfortable being a simple humanist. Frankly, the world makes more sense than it did before.

Everyone knows of God's existence, for as He says the proof of Him is everywhere. His son Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father except through Him.

I stopped believing in God about six months ago. I thought that it would be a passing fad, but I was wrong. I am an atheist and hopefully will always be one.
