i read that virgin was a mistranslation and the original text states mary was a young woman - young woman doesnt mean virgin it just referes to her age

I work at a restaurant and its frustrating that you can have 200 people love everything and you will have 1 person come in and complain about everything and try to make you feel horrible. It seems that some people like to complain, what makes them that way?

As long as Satan was being sincere and was indeed repentant, wouldn't God have to forgive him? Where would that leave christianity? How would Christians then explain why bad things happen to good people?

Of course, I understand this is all hypothetical, but I'm just interested in everyone's various opinions.

I've started to ask a morman this before and they told me that I was mistaked and that it was a star of David. I'm not talking about a star of David, I am talking about a 5 pointed star. I've seen it on temples and in other places too I'm sure. ..and it is a pentagram. Can anyone set me straight on this one?

if someone(me included)asks a funny or odd question or something, 1/2 the people respond with "get a life." or if the joke was obviously a joke, a lot of times people will take it seriously and be like "you have problems. etc"
and if someone post a photo of themselves and just asks "how do i look? thanks=D"
then a bunch of people respond like "you have no self-confidence and i look better and yadee yadaa"
i dunno, i really love it when people can take a joke=D
am i the only one who feels this way?

Darwin himself renounced the theory on his death bed, and one of his beliefs was that black people were lower on the evolutionary chain then white people. How can you believe a theory that came from this, are you all racist?

How do you define beauty (both outwardly and inwardly)? Do you feel that American culture is a good reflection of beauty? There are many examples in the bible of God doing things far more dramatically than necessary. Take for instance, the whole idea of there being a war in heaven or even the war to come as described in revelation. Seems like a war against an all powerful source would be over in an eye blink by God's will. It's not like God is going to use patriot missiles and laser guided weapons. Why the need for such theater when the idea of conventional warfare seems so beneath a deity?

well my BFF just told me she was gay and likes me. So then she says, "It doesnt matter what you think, i'm not going to talk to you ever again anyways." But i still want to be friends bc i'm ok with that as long as she understands how I feel about taht (which i already told her, i like boys) but she won't talk to me..and I dont know what to do!!! hellpp me please



PS: we are like..14 years old and so as you kno lots of ppl question their sexuality around this point. so she mite not be and just care about me alot..but yeah what can i say to make her feel better??

I really find it difficult to believe that we have evolved from primitive organisms. This picture that my friend linked me

was truly terrifying. Does the theory of evolution blatantly state that humans evolved from apes? If so, where can I find some resources or text that has this information documented?

Are there any Atheist Creationists? No, because atheists are closed-minded. But there are Christian evolutionists because Christians are open-minded.
Since Christians are open minded and atheists aren't, the theories they believe are likely to be right. (because they're willing to change their minds when they encounter a better theory)
Conversely, atheist theories are likely to be wrong. Since evolution is an atheist theory it is likely to be wrong.
Therefore creationism is better than evolution.

Let's see if anybody can argue against that logic.
