Darwin himself renounced the theory on his death bed, and one of his beliefs was that black people were lower on the evolutionary chain then white people. How can you believe a theory that came from this, are you all racist?

I know that I am going to get burned for this by some...but I don't care.

I know you all aren't racist, I just am trying to show people that what they think to be a scientific fact has many holes in it.

Certainly not ...
A prime reason is because D Towers, over his recent 9 year research, in his work, ‘TWO BIRDS ... ONE STONE!!', discovered, unequivocally, that Man and the snake are precise opposites of one another! ... in ALL aspects - both anatomically and behaviorally!
That is eerie!!!

But once we have recovered from the shock of such a discovery, we immediately realize that only a Master mind could have engineered such, and that random mutation certainly wasn't 'random", if at all!!

The other gravital realization that strikes is that it overwhelmingly supports the Biblical Adam and Eve, wherein it was the snake [serpent] who tempted Eve to oppose God, and set up "opposition in all things' in the first place!

Those who religiously 'hail' 'Biological Evolution of the Species' as some genuine, realistic, form of life source explanation:
BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD NOW, AND WORK ON THAT ONE!!

It has nothing to do with race The fact that Darwin thought blacks was lower on the evolution scale than whites was in agreement with many others of his time. Just because a person was wrong on part of his theory is no reason to throw the entire thing out the window. The theory of evolution has been modified many times since Darwin. It has been proven many times over. Macro organisms Have been proved to evolve. A chain of fossils from lower primate to human have been discovered. There is no doubt in the minds of scientist that evolution is fact.

First, Darwin did not renounce his theory on his death bed, that is a well known hoax that still circulates, just as the Plymouth Rock story still goes on, but they actually landed three miles north of the Rock and never were there.

On the second, Newton believed in Alchemy but we still use Calculus. Einstein was uncomfortable with quantum mechanics but we use both relativity and quantum mechanics. The Father of Modern Surgery was a heroin addict the entire time, but we still do surgeries.

Scientific theories and practices are not connected to their first observer's person. They are either independently true or they are not. Pythagoras believed mathematical knowledge should be kept from the general population but we are all taught the Pythagorean theorem in high school.

Darwin was not the God of evolution, he was the father ofevolution. He presented the idea that life forms adapt and through these adaptions eventually lead to something new.

As far as his views on blacks, I assume by lower you mean inferior and if Darwin did think this his views weren't unlike those of most Europeans at the time and it is unfortunate but expected.

Speaking in terms of evolution, biological inferiority is a function of environment. A human in the ocean is inferior to a fish as a fish on land is inferior to a human.

Being less evolved in terms of "number of mutations since" does not equate to being inferior. Chimps have undergone more mutations than humans but that certainly doesn't make us plain out inferior.

I believe in evolution based on many discoveries that have taken place since Darwin and the continued research that points to it. We know about today's animals, and about many similar animals in the past and their relation. For example the Asiatic lynx came over to North America several hundred thousand years ago and eventually evolved into the North American bobcat. Around forty thousand years ago The lynx came over again and became the North American lynx which is again distinctive from it's Asian cousin. Now there are three distinct species from one. As for the white/black racist thing; Don't make too much of the ramblings of an old man from a long time ago. His statement doesn't define evolutionary belief.

Well, you're lying or being lied to, so maybe you SHOULD care.

1) Even Answers in Genesis will tell you that the recant story is fake.

2) We don't worship the guy. He had a good idea.

3) Do you worship Edison when you turn on the light? Do you have to consider him your saviour in order to use electricity? Do you realize how ridiculous you sound?

4) The fact that Darwin may have been racist like everyone else at that time doesn't has the slightest effect on whether or not he was right about evolution. Please learn to separate science from the scientists.

Catholics believe on evolution, but that they also believe that God is the creator.

Darwin and especially most racionalists after them make a non-god theory to explain creation.
Also a theory means an idea about how a thing is done or made, not a scientific fact. Check your dictionary.
So evolution theory it is not a scientific fact.

Well, you are right evolutionary theory is the mother of most today racism like nazism and others. It is an hystorical fact. A good reading of the books of racists can open your eyes about the matter.

darwin only started what is now known as the theory of evolution. what he actually discovered was "survival of the fittest". that creatures best adapted to survive in an environment would live in that area. and even with this he only had a very rough idea of what was happening because he didnt have any knowledge that we know now of genes, mutations, and such. evolution is the actual process of changing over time to best survive in an environment. while closely related they are slightly different things.

The story that Darwin renounced evolution on his death bed was started by one Lady Elizabeth Hope, who lied. Darwin's family denied her story, stating that she was not present at the time of Darwin's death.

Besides, it doesn't matter what the man was like. His idea has stood the test of time. You don't seem to consider how science academia works. There is strong competition among scientists to develop the best explanation possible from the given evidence. Scientists very carefully avoid getting their logic refuted by other scientists. It looks bad. If some scientist is blindly worshipping Darwin, other scientists will be very quick to point it out.

You suggest that someone might be racist simply for espousing an idea that was developed by a possible racist. You need to stop and think. There were plenty of racists that didn't buy Darwin's ideas, so must you be racist in order to think similarly?

Please stop and think before opening your mouth. You just make yourself look bad.

Evolutionary science has "evolved" much since Darwin's day, I think that the DNA,fossil and other evidence makes evolution very plausible.

It is a fallacy put about by religious nuts that Darwin renounced evolutionary theory on his death bed.

And yes, nearly every white person in the 19th century did think that blacks were subhuman. Or did you not know that?

Our modern knowledge of evolution has gone far beyond Darwin's.
