There are many examples in the bible of God doing things far more dramatically than necessary. Take for instance, the whole idea of there being a war in heaven or even the war to come as described in revelation. Seems like a war against an all powerful source would be over in an eye blink by God's will. It's not like God is going to use patriot missiles and laser guided weapons. Why the need for such theater when the idea of conventional warfare seems so beneath a deity?

As always, it is not God, but those that invented him, that are over interested by war.

God's concept of time is different from man's and God's acts have always come in a form that man can relate to in man's time on earth. For example, If man was in the garden of Eden, God used physical objects known to man in Eden. If God is dealing with man in 2007, he might use a nuclear weapon or a weapon of mass destruction. War against an all powerful source will, without a doubt, be over in the blink of an eye. God does not need drama. Man needs drama in order to be convinced.

If you had any understanding when reading the bible you would no that everything that God does has a reason. There was war in heavan because Lucifer went crazy and God wanted him out. God commanded Micheal to throw him out. Lucifer even persuded a third of Gods angels follow him to go against God. These angels were around God and saw him and Lucifer persuded them what makes you think that he can't persude you and you are a simple mortal. If you are going to read the bible pray for some understanding, He will grant it to you.

Don't you love a good story? Don't you love theater, movies, or television, or a good novel? Who's to say that we're not God's theater?
Why deprive God of a good show?

The fact that you perceive God as "needing drama' is indicitive of the fact that you do not understand what God's will is, or the logic behind his decisions of action.

It isnt God that needs it, its man... Men wont just believe what He tells them so He has to add all the bells and whistles so we pay attention.

i think its just to once again show how powerful He is! all things work for His glory and honor so why not have a big war to show how glorious He truly is!

God is just pretty matter-of-fact.
It's man that adds the drama.
