If mutations are the mechanism that slowly adds genetic information then why can a snake mutate a second snake head, but not mutate chicken wings?

A snake already has genetic information to grow a snake head, but chicken wing DNA he aint got!

Where is the example of this added genetic information in nature?

Frogs can grow a third frog eye, Cows can grow five cow legs, and kittens can mutate and grow two cat heads. In nature it seems that mutations only utilize the genetic information that is already present.

Before you comment on my ignorance, YES I do a lot of reading regarding this subject. Thus, I don’t care if bacteria can now eat nylon. Show me the MONEY!!!

Who made the first impression on you? Why did they leave an impression.

The very first person I ever contacted here was Captain Atheism. He was also my first friend on 360. Selnyk was close behind. I had never met or spoken to an atheist and I was fascinated to know more about them as people.

Who was it for you?

Hosea 13:16. "Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up."
Throughout the Bible, God smites those who do not believe in him or those who do not follow his commands. Here we have the grotesque description of infants dashed to pieces and pregnant women ripped up. Whatever rebellious nature an infant's father or mother may have had, it bears no justice to an innocent child or to an unborn fetus who could not possibly have rebelled against God, much less understood him. Anyone who claims to love such a God, must accept infanticide as one of God's ugly revenges.(See also Psalms 137:9)

Do you prefer traditional music with an organ and/or piano and maybe a choir! Or do you like the new music with guitars and such? Whichever you prefer, tell my why. As for me, I like the traditional music! Why? I was trained in piano and in classical/sacred style. It is the way to go for me.

I wish it will be like the Earth was supposed to be, with relationships and all our old pets and houses and perfect houses and yards. A place where we don't need money, no diseases, no crime...Wouldn't that be nice?

I have been studing sexuality around the world, and must say that Brazilians take the place for the most well endowed men. Not saying that there aren't any "big" men in other nations, but Brazilians take the cake. The average Brazilian size is 10". Which brings me back to my question why are Brazilian men well endowed than most men of the world.

Captain America is dead...I am angry right now and full of grief at the death of this fictitious character, and have been wondering "why?" Then it hit me, like a punch to the face, I was not upset about the fictional passing of an imaginary character, but what it represented. To those that don't know, the thing that made Captain America a popular character was the way he maintained decency and morality in situations where it seemed almost impossible to due so, he never backed down when confronted with an unstoppable force, he was vulnerable, but still fought against the toughest of foes without a second of hesitation. He was the PERSONIFICATION of the good that is in America, and it touched me much on the same level as someone setting fire to the American flag. I am not a comic book fan...Hell, I think I have only read about twenty of them in the past 10 years, but I always liked this character, and it is weird that it made me feel such an emotion when I heard about this.

My daughter is 18 and pregnant. She just finished high school, works a full time job and is enrolled in college in the fall. I would like to give her a baby shower but unsure if it would be appropriate to hold it in our church hall like I had planned. I didn't think much about it until I was told by several of my husband's family members that it would be wrong (because shes not married) and they would not attend. Any thoughts?

The troubles in Pakistan seem quite disturbing.

Yet apparently the fundamentalists are mostly active difficult to access border regions where they murder barbers and burn dvd shops among other things.

The government seems unable to reign them in, yet the fundamentalists seem unable to win the hearts and minds of the populace in the capital.

Afghanistan has been torn apart by fundamentalism for a long time now, but the Taliban remains incredibly unpopular.

Will this sort of problem ultimately pull down more Islamic countries?

Will fundamentalist ultimately cause so much angst among muslims, that many will lose their faith as a result?
