I'm Catholic, but I've recently begun to really look into the Jewish faith more. I've been realizing, as I'm going back to the basics in the Bible, that it's not until you get to the New Testament that there are holes. Look at any Christian denomination, and you will find holes. Questions that no one can answer (yes, this includes the Pope-I have written to him to ask questions that no one else seemed to be able to answer, and he couldn't answer them either...what does that mean?) The Old Testament had no holes. The Law was the Law. Everyone knew it, everyone lived it, end of story. It's only when you add in Jesus that things stop making sense. So, will I miss being a Christian? No. Not really, because I will be living a life that makes sense.

never i went to church once again and the priest is trying to convince me to believe in god and i already do but he was so lame i think he was trying to convince himself. I could have done better. its lame and boring phony waste of time, and i feel closer to god than that lamo priest seems to be. And the priest that repeated my confession to my parents about my mothers alcoholism when i was 12 was shot in the back while giving mass in church about five years ago. And i won't say it but i know you thought it. I hope the place burns to the ground now. you just made get pissed thanx I have not thought of that for a while. Miss church ha. Good riddens. And iwas the bad kid cause i ran away and told which is what they said I should do, I should have never trusted them. And then he went back and told them. I was tired of being chased around the houuse every day when i came home from school and alot of verbal abuse and some physical and i was the bad guy at 12. cause father didn't beleive but when it was apparent he was no where to be found i guess its easier to condemn a 12 year old than an contributing adult. i would really rather be dead then go through that again. bunch of miserable drunkards they are all dead and i didn't do it. So what?

One must go to kindergarten. If one passes then they graduate to the first grade..........is it not so?
If one passes all the skills from the elementary level, then one passes on to the middle school level........is it not so?
If one passes the middle school requirements, then one passes on to the high school level...is it not so?
Then one enters college, if they so wish, with hopes of attaining a college degree and putting this education into practice in the world, and helping their fellow man, in one form or another............is it not so?
Spirituality is much like this!
A human should not get stuck in a rut and dull their awareness
of what is the true birthright of man.
I'm a small student, and have no regrets having dropped all the religions, and allowing my very being to come out into the "Light of Truth".
It's mans true birthright to seek the one that created, protects,
and nourishes, all things.
Man has been given "Free Will" to search for the "Creator".
Let nothing stand in mans path!

Ex-Catholic. Don't miss them at all. I enjoy not being with the extremely closed minded people I was raised around.

Today I am a Witch who happens to believe in the Christian, Catholic, Baptist, etc God. I just don't believe in their tenants.
So now I am a happy Witch with my God as I understand God. I know the Bible, and use it. But I am not a Christian. Jesus did NOT have to die to save us. My God is much bigger than that. My God truly is all powerful, and has the ability to forgive without blood spilling. People just keep making God's abilities smaller and smaller. We need to stop limiting and unlimited God.
Blessed Be

I think that most of us ex's have evolved on to a deeper understanding of the true GOD void of dogma's so what is to miss except the association of like minded people. So if we keep searching we will find a community where we can share our thoughts without criticisim or judgement. Seek and you will find.

Not at all. As an Agnostic, I am able to intelligently consider situations in their proper perspective without resorting to antiquated scripture which, if authentic or not, is usually obsolete to the matter at hand. I am now able to focus my thoughts on what is right and just and that is what I am doing.
