Not that anyone really wants to die, but in the end, if you have some notice that you are dying, and have the opportunity to more or less know when you have days left, would it be exciting as well as sad/scary? I mean sometimes I think about way down the road in my life when I'm about to die how exciting it might be to know that i'm about to step into the "other side" and maybe finally get some answers to some of the questions that haunt people through their lives, like the truth about religion, life, etc.... I can see it being exciting with anticipation if you live a good life and prepare mentally for the moment.

lol, that got your attention. But seriously why does everyone believe what Darwin said just because he wrote it down. Nearly 150 after his book was published it is still a theory. Why not believe Bible it makes more sense than a big bang?

You sang to me, You said Words that would comfort each
other. & you touched hearts among you, that would make each
of you Brothers.
You let the World know that I lived a good life, of Great
Inspiration, & now I must return to the One, who Blessed us
with ALL CREATION.
You helped me live a life of Success, in doing my Best, to
keep BROTHERHOOD alive,
you let others know to be among the Best, who'd join the
rest who will travel to Gloryland, to preach & teach with
THAT HEAVENLY BAND.
Music you sang, Words you said, from your heart, di
allow me to depart....
You taught me much, just as I did you, & we walked along
together, in life..
Be Proud, for I Stand, Beside the BEST MAN, who did
Stand, for the Right & Fair
The One who was as Human as you and I!
So Come Along, join me..SOMEDAY !

"At" is a Hebraism, meaning the Greeks borrowed the word from the Hebrews, it means "Adam". "Lan" means "land" or more accuately "people". "Tis" is the Greek word "of"... So At-lan-tis means "People of Adam".

So I live in Arizona and I'm moving soon to another area. Mostly where I am there are basic Christians of all groups, and the LDS. Rarely do I ever see the Adventists, but I saw a sign for their church near my new house.
I like learning about new religions, but I'm not even sure what thye believe or if I would be welcome to ask them. Is anyone here a member of the church, or know what they believe? Are they just another Christian denomonation, or something else?

And any comments that are mean about the Adventists can be kept to yourself. I just want to know what their beliefs and practices are from them or people that have experience with them, I don't care if you like them or not.

I am SOOOOO SICK of christians trying to convert me. Get in touch with reality, there is no such thing as a god or deity. Let me ask you all this?
1. Where was your little god when all those innocent people died on 9/11?
2. Where is your little god when little innocent boys and girls are getting molested and raped?
3. Where is your little god when people are dying of cancer and AIDS?
As an atheist, I am challenging all of you muslims or christians or whatever god you believe in to bow on your knees and pray this tonight: God, will you cure cancer tonight?? Will it happen? Of course not, god isn't real. I thought jesus told all of you, ask and you shall receive, yeah right. So go ahead say it, and you will find out it didn't work. And why didn't it work? Because there is noooo such thing as god.

GE 24:2-9, 47:29 "... put your hand under my thigh, and I will make you swear by the Lord ...." (Note: This means "put your hand under my testicles," which is the manner in which oaths were taken at the time; "testament," "testify," and "testicle" have the same root.)
LE 21:20, 22:24 (References to testicles, or "stones" in the KJV.)
DT 23:1 (KJV) "He that is wounded in the stones [testicles], or hath his privy member [penis] cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord."

I'm a Christian and I'm against abortion, but I often wonder about the reason that Christians so adamantly oppose it. If you asked a Christian if they believe that the soul of an aborted child goes to heaven or hell, they would most likely say, "Well, heaven of course!" because they would say that it seems unjust of God to send a soul to hell before it had the opportunity to accept salvation. If this is the case, then isn't abortion a great service to the soul of the child by allowing them to bypass life and the possibility of hell and proceed directly to eternal bliss? What do you think? Serious answers only please.

Something is terribly wrong with me. I think demons are tormenting my soul. Ever since elementary school, I have had many problems such as learning disabilities, ADHD, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, and very severe depression. When I was 13 I was such a wreck that I feared I was going to hell so I was baptized in water. Obviously, I was baptized for the wrong reasons and I feel as though Jesus has condemned me for treating his blood like it was worthless. I have never felt saved and have never had a conviction deep down inside that Jesus did in fact die for me. No matter how hard I try to acquire faith, I can never attain it...it's so hard for me. My soul is stricken with fear, countless medications work to no avail, and I feel as though demons are hindering my access to findind faith in God. Sometimes when people begin praying and using Jesus' name, I feel hot flushing and uncomfortable feelings and this upsets me very much. I am fear-stricken and plagued with doubts. Help!

I'll be living in an apartment with my own kitchen next semester and would like to be as self-sufficient as possible. Can you give this sheltered college student some advice on cooking and maintaining a kitchen? What do I need in my kitchen, and what are some good things to cook on a tight budget? What should I learn to cook and where/how can I learn? Thanks a bunch for all your help!
