...I LOVE ...
the sights,
the smells,
the cheer,
the sales (but not the rudeness or the crowds),
the closeness I feel towards people,
seeing the wonderment in the eyes of a child,
hearing the old family stories from the elders in the family, the old tv specials,
the music,
the lights,
the sense of magic,
the nostalgia,
the traditions,
the food,
the colors,
the weather,
the decorations,
the reason to celebrate,
...and the most important is the feeling of total gratitude that seems to overwhelm me for 6 weeks out of the year!

Everything that SAGE said and more...I totally LOVE the Christmas season. It is my Favorite time of year And Yes I do keep it year round.
I have a question tho for those that don't like Christmas and are just flat out rude on some of the Christmas questions. WHY do you bother to even answer the questions if you so absolutely HATE the season? Is it just to have those that adore the season and are Christian Pray for you? If that is the case all you have to do is ask for prayer.
I will hush now.

I know many people like Christmas, but it's just not right to assume we all feel the same way. I, for one, am a little offended at the way people so nonchalantly throw the idea of Christmas around as just some holiday and simplify the season as something you "love". I think we can all agree that the birth of Moses is something we should cherish and hold deep in our hearts.

My favorite part about Christmas is people are more kind toward one another. It seems to bring the best out of us. I wish humanity was like that every day instead of just four weeks of the whole entire year.
I also LOVE to look at the stars on Christmas Eve. The air is so crisp and cool. After that, I read a christmas themed book under the covers with a scented ginger bread candle.
Some other things I like are:
-Sitting near the fire
-Eggnog
-Being with family members you barely see
-Watching the smiles on people's faces
-Getting something worthwhile like books or physics kits

well, my twins were born on xmas and of course, that makes it extra special for me! They are now 25 yrs. old and I still feel like I should celebrate xmas on xmas eve and their birthday on xmas day as I always have. I have loved xmas since I was a small child and every year I marvel in the fact that I have been allowed to live this long to see another. each one is unique and unusual and holds a wonder that would be impossible to describe. In one word, for me-breathtaking!

I just love the lights and you decorate your house, i love to take my boys and show them all the houses with lights. When i put my tree up with my husband and sons, go through all the ornaments we collected for that year and remember why we got that ornament. Also when they put up the big tree downtown and light up all the lights on the riverwalk the day after thanksgiving. By far my favorite holiday
