Why is it that Turkey refuses to ackowledge its role in the Armenian genocide? No one is asking for reperations, just that there is an admission of guilt. I understand the embarressment, but isn't important to teach your children the truth, no matter how ugly? What about the Japanese and the Nanking massacre? Do they just stick their heads in the sand and say "la, la, la, it didn't happen!!!"? No one would judge, because whatever judgement was made was done years ago. So come on...fess up and tell the kiddies the truth. It will set you free...

Science is a wonderfull thing for explaining things in the physical universe. The problem comes when people thing that the ONLY things that are real or exist are in the physical realm. Real spiritual things are outside of the little box of science. When the spiritual overlaps the physical realm science fails at explaining it. What do you think?

"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for
what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness?" (KJV)- Corinthians 6:14

Isnt this against Pro Life? If we were to do this, it would go against are natural biological reproduction?

If the Earth were to suddenly vanish for whatever reason, maybe from a cosmic impact or getting sucked into a black hole, the universe wouldn't even notice and the creation myth would then be non existant, along with all life on Earth, with a soul or not, atheist or otherwise..

Yet the FACTS of physics would still exist, and the scientific principles and concepts that we use to explain the natural world would still permeate the cosmos, just like it does now, but without humanised concepts of god or creation.

With this 'thought experiment', it is clear that the science we use to describe the natural world is real, and the creation myth is just that, a myth..

How will the creationists answer this? Denial, ignorance, or lies..?

What's it going to be..?

I have seen some christians state this. I have never seen an atheist say to a christian that they know there is no god. For me personaly, my morals would not allow me to presume what is in anothers heart, Are there other reasons why us atheists don't say this?

Did you know that contraception in Islam is allowed? And used widely? Why is it that some religions forbid it, when it's harmful to the mother's health? Islam has stated that children should nurse for 2 years, and for many women when nursing, this stops ovulation. Not all, but a great many. There is a reason for this. The woman's body needs to recover, and even two years later she still may not be fully recovered in terms of nutrition. She also needs to get back into shape for her health, and there are recommendations on that, but nursing is one major thing that helps a woman's body recover. I don't get why some religions care only about getting a baby, and nothing for the one who brings it into the world. I know some men who even say "The woman did not bring the baby, God did". Speaking as a mother of two, I can definately say that it was my body that did it. The men in the religions who forbid this are ogres. What sense does it make?

Are the Troops really fighting for USA freedom? If so How?

Did not USA soldiers fight for USA freedom to take the lands from the Native American?

Are they defending the Constitution Of the USA? If so How?

How much of the Constitution Of the USA do you supposed the troops know or understand? What percentage know or understand it? How in depth is their review of Constitution of the USA before taking the oath to defend it? How often is an in depth review of Constitution Of the USA done by ordinary USAcitizens?

If Lawyers, Judges, Politicians understand the Constitution Of the USA best, why are not they on the frontline instead of the troops?

If so how our freedom at risk?
Are they just mindlessly following orders?

Will not those same troops be obliged to kill, maime, torture, imprison, etc, USAmerican citizens if ordered to do so?

on this earth in a certain perspective to how long the earth has been in existence , it would be about a blink of an eye in a 24 hour period . And to me, the millions of generations that have come and passed since my time seems overwhelmingly long .
It really makes feel pretty insignificant and makes me wonder if we all are a little too arrogant about our self worth in the grand scheme of things. Do this seem like a realistic anology to you assuming the earth has been here millions of years if you go by the scientific reasoning of evolution ?

As in any religion, we all know that Adam was the first human on Earth.
While in Science, we read that the first humans were so primative like the Neanderthal, and Gorilla-like body shapes, they were nude and even weren't able to speak.
Was Adam look like these people, or look like the Modern Humans?
Is it possible that God Created Adam at that shape?
Can someone expalin this for me?
Thank you!

"Like, world hunger is so sad, but God just granted my prayer for a new boyfriend! The war is a total bummer, but I'm busy praying away gay marriage"

Seriously, if they have their own personal god in a jar who grants their wishes, why aren't they praying for anything that isn't completely selfish?

"world peace would be nice, but I really need to quit smoking--pray for me please?"
