Science is the study of the physical. Religion is the study of the spiritual. There is a strong connection between the physical and the spiritual. Why then is Science and Religion offend taken at odds with each other. In the end both are trying to seek out the the same truth.

Both science and spirituality seek the truth. Science tends to stress facts and provable theories, and spirituality accepts unknowns as facts and possibilities. Both can be biased, based on interpretation. There are just some things we are not meant to know in this life, and it doesn't make them any less true.
We have been given many senses to explore our world; sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch and also instinct, faith, curiousity, and intuition. Whether we are interpreting our dreams, or pondering what life means to us, trying to find something we have lost, or examining a species unfamiliar to us. We use the gifts we were given. Our "higher conciousness" or intellegence humans seem to have over all other creatures, gives us opportunities for survival and reponsibilities to each other and the earth we live on. It also gives us an opportunity to seek understanding of the One who gave us these gifts.

Just the opposite. The spiritual is very important, but people often give it sway over subjects perfectly well explained by science.

Life is like a clock.
The cogs and balances are like science.
Time is like spirit.
Consider the clock's only purpose as an accurate measure of time and it is like a life which only fullfills its purpose when spirit is recognized. And science is part of the process.

I say we don't know everything yet. In the following years great strides will be made in science and we will know and learn more. Things that were once spiritual now have explanations.

The problem is that in many instances science can prove that spirituality(religion) is wrong. We know that evolution is a fact because that's how bacteria become resistant to antibiotics, they evolve. Yet religion(spirituality) continues to claim tha evolution is a hoax.

I think...well, I know that science is REAL and spirituality is make-believe.
It is fine if you WANT to believe in an invisible man, spirits, or other legends. But, you can't have both.
As soon as you try to explain your fairy-tales with science, it all falls apart.
Keep them separate, and you won't have this problem.

There is no evidence for anything other than the physical realm. To say that you believe in something else on faith alone is intellectual bankrupcy as you imply that it can't be accepted on its own merits.

2 different sides of 1 SWORD.
i prefer to be more spiritual, for good reason. I believe that EVERYTHING IN our world happens for very good reason.
People often say if it doesn't exist physically, it doesn't exist at all. its not TRUE, if you can't see and touch it doesn't means it doesn't exist.
