Well, I am a believer. My husband is a non-believer. He was when I met 15 years ago. He respects my right to believe, I respect his right not to believe. We have conversations on religious topics at times, as he does believe in certain parts of the Bible, the parts that tell how to live an agreeable life, he just doesn't believe in God. We decided from the beginning that our children would go to church until they were old enough to choose and they would make their own choice from there.
It has not been a big deal in our household, Not sure why it would be anywhere else if it is handled right.

Of course they would procreate--it's the man who's the "vile" atheist. And men are both physically stronger and less discriminating in their sexual preferences (according to research).
The more interesting question would be, would they procreate if the man was a christian and the woman was an atheist?
The answer is probably still yes. Desperation has a way of changing people's beliefs.

If our species was meant to die....let it die. Let them go gracefully. There is no way that two people can successfully repopulate the world. Children born from incest will most likely have birth defects and lower IQ's. Therefore, you'd be creating a world full of morons....(which is almost what we have now....)
But to answer this pointless question....If I were the atheist and the guy was a christian, sure, I might do him. But I'll make sure that he doesn't tell any of his religious crap to my kids.

from the bibical standpoint you shouldn't, but from a human nature standpoint if you didn't want to see the human race become extinct you would, but the question would be what views would the child be raised with? If the female was christian and she was raising the child more than likely she would teach the child her beliefs, but there would also be the male influnce on the child also.
So with equal influnce which would the child accept Athesist or christian?

@ writersblock73 Get some damn reading comprehension skills, the question is aimed at Christians, not atheists... Atheists don't have any holy book telling them not to procreate with religious people......
Anyway, erm, as this is a question apparently addressed towards Christian females... Were I a Christian female, eh, I don't know that I'd want to give birth without anesthetic at all, regardless of who it was with (and knowing it would be pointless without my children mating, which is a taboo I have pretty strongly indoctrinated in me)... I would probably eventually do it, but it'd take quite a while to warm up to the idea...
Now, as an atheistic male, who doesn't have to squeeze something out of a hole 1/16 its size without the help of medical science, I'd be all for it....

No---not because of the whole religious thing but because it would mean that there would have to be a lot of incest going on to keep the earth populated.......which leads me to the whole Adam and Eve and how did they go forth and multiply......ewww
