In Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, etc do they say that trying to reach "enlightenment" is what everyone is supposed to do? Or do they see it as just one path to take in life? I've heard that after one becomes enlightened, they see life as just a game, perhaps a play. They're free of attachments; they can have preferences about what they'd like to happen, but they don't need this or that outcome to be happy. But do folks who are enlightened recommend this as the ideal path in life for everyone?

And Jephthah made a vow to the LORD : "If you give the Ammonites into my hands, whatever comes out of the door of my house to meet me when I return in triumph from the Ammonites will be the LORD's, and I will sacrifice it as a burnt offering."

Then Jephthah went over to fight the Ammonites, and the LORD gave them into his hands. ... Thus Israel subdued Ammon.

When Jephthah returned to his home in Mizpah, who should come out to meet him but his daughter, dancing to the sound of tambourines! ... When he saw her, he tore his clothes and cried, "Oh! My daughter! You have made me miserable and wretched, because I have made a vow to the LORD that I cannot break."

"My father," she replied, "you have given your word to the LORD. Do to me just as you promised, now that the LORD has avenged you of your enemies, the Ammonites. But ... (g)ive me two months to roam the hills and weep with my friends, because I will never marry."

"You may go," he said. ...

There are books written by Christ's followers that were not included in the Bible, obviuosly or why did they get together to canonize the ones they did. In some of those books it mentions that Jesus was maried to Mary Magdeline, again just as obvious, it's not in the Bible.
Would it change your belief in Jesus Christ as the son of God if it was confirmed that he infact was married?
Then the logocal next step, would he be the perfect sacrifice if he were married and not a virgin?
Please explain.

Would you be the faith you are if you had not been born into a family that was that faith?
For example, if you are Amish (then you're not reading this because you don't have a computer), but if you were Amish would you choose to follow the Amish practices if you hadn't been born to an Amish family?
In other words, if all the religions were laid before you, Christianity, Islam, Hindu, Jew etc.; you have explored the different faiths and understand why they believe what they believe; you leave aside the personal bias of how you were raised, and make a free choice. Are you certain you choose the faith that you are?
Please explain.

I have thought that it will spare me of time-wasting pursuits that I am to avoid going into areas where men, either gay or bi have stared or looked at me with the assertive look. For example, there is several roads near where I live that a few men live and I would like to avoid them, thus avoiding being tempted into the lust and wickedness of the flesh and to protect myself. I am very sensitive and it is easy for me to give in- but this kind of activity cannot continue, for I wish to follow along with my studies and one day be a Manichaean Gnoctis priest, but such impurity of the flesh does not mix well with the search for Gnosis.

I am not spreading hate or being wicked but I am merely helping myself out of my own mistakes.

then why do they not believe the word of God which is written in the Holy Bible? That is not worship. Worship christians is worshiping God in spirit and in truth. Becasue if they worshiped God they would also belive that Jesus was not just a prophet he is indeed the living Begotton Son of the living God, and they would also belive in miralces as God is a God of the supernatural, they would also believe that God gives dreams and visions for today, they would also call God Father, and if they worshiped God they would not deny the Holy Spirit, and if they worshiped God they would know that no man comes to the Father expect through His Son Jesus. Christians be joyful as we know the truth and as Jesus said "You shall know the truth and the truth shall sent you free" It is also written he who has the Son is free indeed. Awsome. Hallelujah!

Why does the "Virgin" Mary have "no memory of the Archangel Gabriel's visitation, or of the swarms of angels, both telling her she is the mother of God?" he asks; "everything her son does comes to her as a complete surprise. What can he be doing talking to rabbis in the temple?" (Christopher Hitchens)

This blanket dismissal of evolution ignores important distinctions that divide the field into at least two broad areas: microevolution and macroevolution. Microevolution looks at changes within species over time--changes that may be preludes to speciation, the origin of new species. Macroevolution studies how taxonomic groups above the level of species change. Its evidence draws frequently from the fossil record and DNA comparisons to reconstruct how various organisms may be related.
These days even most creationists acknowledge that microevolution has been upheld by tests in the laboratory (as in studies of cells, plants and fruit flies) and in the field (as in Grant's studies of evolving beak shapes among Galápagos finches). Natural selection and other mechanisms--such as chromosomal changes, symbiosis and hybridization--can drive profound changes in populations over time.

I'm really surprised that there are people out there who don't accept Evolution because it goes against their "creation" belief.

I am a bit confused. I know that being pregnant before getting married to you future husband is one of the worst sins. I understand that if if this happens to anyone they should repent and ask for forgiveness to allah and face punishment if necessary. A friend of mine says that if you get pregnant even if you get married before the baby is born, your baby is haram and won't have his/her book so you might as well have an abortion. Now according to some websites abortion is never allowed unless the mother will die buy completing the pregnancy. For others is allowed within 120 days, others say it's 40 or 90 days and others say before the soul is breathed into the baby ... which is not clear when. Anyways ... I don't understand why should the innocent baby be punished for two adults sin ... and why should you have to have an abortion if you don't want to, it also seems to me like the easy way out. Life is a test and if this should happen to anyone what should they do?
