Mexican-Americans, African-Americans, etc...? What nationalities are just called Americans, I mean where do just Americans hail from originally? Is it a W.A.S.P. (white anglo-saxon, protestant-basically British) thing?

And finally, isn't it discriminating ? Why should an Irish, for instance, family who has been in the US since 1700 be called Irish-American?

I've never heard the term English-American, Dutch-American or French-American. How comes? Are these nationalities more accepted in the US of A?

I'm really puzzled by this! I see that Americans are so patriotic and just wondered why some people who live there, and have done so for generations, are not accepted as fully American, but they need an add-on prefix.

I am a believer of evolution myself. I am wondering why I see so-called atheist on this site so up-tight concerning racial remarks against minorities. I am not saying i am for "racism" but if God doesnt exist, which i dont believe he does," isnt it true then that some races are superior to others in the context of adaptability, intelligence, and a sense of working for the greater good of the colony or community. And and again i have nothing against gay men in particular, but doesnt homosexuality go against the natural order of things?

They are very good when the accuse christian churches of attacking them of coming out with statements like"the christian church oppresses me" or "i am oppressed"

Tell me.tell the world in great detail how you personally have been "oppressed" by the christian church.

Gays always blow on and on with things like "whatever gays do in their own home is their business",
Have any christian members actually ever forced their way into your house and actually physically oppressed you.
Maybe they sat on your sofa moaning you to death.

You know its a sin to bear false witness.

Why didn't God kill the snake and burn down the tree of knowledge of good and evil in the first place? This would have prevented original sin, a global flood, and billions of people being tortured by demons in pit of fire.

He is Black and adopted into a white family and he has always been okay with that. I have tried to explain to him that not all people feel like we do. Now he wants to date a Lebaneze girl and her parents forbid it they are not even allowed to talk to each other. I asked the girl what the problem was and she said her parents don't like it because they are of different races. My son said they can't be prejudice they aren't white.
how do I explain to him that it is not always a black, white thing. That prejudice come in all shapes, colors, and sizes.

I'm asking a serious question. I think a lot of modern evangelists have the wrong idea. They have an us and them mentality and I don't agree with that. I believe that all are loved by God and deserve my respect.

Should I do with action? Should I have a low-key open discussion? What are your thoughts?

Revelations 21:8 makes abundantly clear that God will kill us for not loving him.

Do you know many non-christians who respond well to the threat: "Love me or I throw you in a lake of fire and brimstone"?

And why do so many people believe a god is capable of such a threat? Don't they degrade the definition of "god" by worshipping a 'god' who makes threats like that?

Doesn't a religion that worships a 'god' who says "love me or your dead meat" simply encourage abusive behaviour towards others?

I mean, if 'god' is the example we are to follow, then throwing tantrums (the Flood, Sodom and Gomorrah), being sadistic (massacre of the first born in Egypt, the crucifixion of Jesus), and making death threats (Revelation 21:8 amongst many others) are not exactly examples of 'godly' behaviour, are they?

I was a newbie in a IT company for 3 months. I have a partner who has been working for a year. We each have different jobscope which were assigned by Superior but we have to cover duty for whoever go on leave.
Tasks which were assign to her, she will tell me to do without feeling shameful. I did told my Superior (Cherry) and she was awares of my partner's actions. Reason was bcos she used to treat newbie with this kind of sickening actions in the past. Like for instance, it's her duty to post letters but yet she pass the letters to me. I do not know how to reject her cos i'm still new. Still have a lot of things to learn from her.
What should i do?

Every time I call my utility company the woman is extremely rude. I usually let it go (past 3x's). Today I reacted (badly) to her snotty attitude. Now I feel really guilty. Its not how I handle people normally.
