He is Black and adopted into a white family and he has always been okay with that. I have tried to explain to him that not all people feel like we do. Now he wants to date a Lebaneze girl and her parents forbid it they are not even allowed to talk to each other. I asked the girl what the problem was and she said her parents don't like it because they are of different races. My son said they can't be prejudice they aren't white.
how do I explain to him that it is not always a black, white thing. That prejudice come in all shapes, colors, and sizes.

Lebaneze women like other women... I think both of you need to learn about life.

Your son actually believes that only white people are prejudice?

You just pretty much answered your own question, when I was growing up in NY I never really saw prejudice, it wasn't until I joined the Navy in Boot Camp that I learned of other people's opinion's. Because I was Caucasian they would come to me to talk ignorance about African American's, it was troubling because I had never seen it before. So I see how your son has the same frustration. Good Luck with it. Hopefully her parent's see the ignorance of there ways and change there view.

Explain that prejudice is based on ignorance and fear. People don't understand certain things, and they are afraid of what they do not understand. Prejudice is a learned behavior, and anyone, of any color, religion, ethnicity, etc., can learn it. Usually people learn it from their parents. If you grow up hearing that people of a certain color, for example, are not good, you will grow up believing that and be prejudiced against people of that color based only on that, not based on facts or personal experience.

I feel for you. Tough situation!
Sometimes I think kids should rule the world, ( before they are tainted by adult thoughts).
Wouldnt it be nice to not have to say anything at all?
Sounds like you will do fine.
Good luck :)
P.S) These people are from another country and they have a difference in ALOT of things. I think it goes beyond being black.

Explain that some people don't like fat people, or short people, or ugly people. And those have nothing to do with what color you are.

Explain that some people will always think they are better than anyone else, so if you are in any way different than them, they have decided that you must be inferior.
