I am aged 32. I spent a great deal of time as a teenager trying to be "cool" and failing miserably. I do not bother trying to look cool now; I do not bother setting my agenda based on what others are doing, and consequently I am much happier and centred than I was as a teenager.

Define "cool"...

I don't care about social status... I pretty much don't care what people think about me unless they're important to me (or unless I know them in a professional capacity, but that's different). So no, I don't think I'm "cool" in the traditional sense of the word.

I think "cool" people are people who decide what's important to them (instead of allowing others or social expecations to do it for them). Cool people are also trust worthy and sincere, and they care about improving themselves (according to their own values) and growing as an individual.

Aside from that... Your appearance and level of attractiveness is based 90% on how you carry yourself. It's not what you wear, it's how you wear it. :-)

I don't see my self as cool, I just see myself as me. I surround myself with people like me so I guess actually in my social circle, I would be cool.
