I have thought that it will spare me of time-wasting pursuits that I am to avoid going into areas where men, either gay or bi have stared or looked at me with the assertive look. For example, there is several roads near where I live that a few men live and I would like to avoid them, thus avoiding being tempted into the lust and wickedness of the flesh and to protect myself. I am very sensitive and it is easy for me to give in- but this kind of activity cannot continue, for I wish to follow along with my studies and one day be a Manichaean Gnoctis priest, but such impurity of the flesh does not mix well with the search for Gnosis.

I am not spreading hate or being wicked but I am merely helping myself out of my own mistakes.

This makes no sense.

You're worried about men looking at you? You make it sound like a glance is all it takes to make you break down. Well not everyone that's looking at you wants you.

You sound very insecure in yourself. You should deal with that insecurity, so that when someone does look at you, you won't break down. If you don't deal with it, you'll never escape, because there'll always be a man looking at you somewhere, sometime.

You're trying too hard to control your sexuality, and it's controlling you. You need to deal with it and move on, so you can get to the point of saying "yes I may lust for that, but I do not want that."

In other words you need to grow up a bit.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but that is spreading hate. But, you do have a right to avoid whoever you want to avoid. So, why ask this question. Especially in this section. If you want support from fundamentalist bigots than you should go to the religion and spirituality section. I'm sorry you feel this way and I hope someday you'll be able to realize that homosexuality is not a sin anymore than heterosexuality is. Good luck.

You would not be tempted to the flesh if you werent gay. Accept your sexual orientation and find someone like minded as you. Join i nto a monagonous relationship with that person and God will honor your union

The most important thing in life is to be true to yourself... you can't be true to your god if you can't be honest with yourself. God made you the way you are. Deal with it. If you try to spend denying who you are and trying to force yourself into a mold that doesn't fit.... you are both displeasing God as well as slowly driving yourself crazy. God wouldn't want you to spend your life hating yourself. Have we all forgotten that God Is Love?????

Yet another self-loathing gay person wanting to hide his true self behind a religion.
Sigh......

Sure, buddy, keep trying to fool yourself if you think it makes you happy. Have fun trying to find your mythical god who doesn't even exist. Self-delusion seems to be the trend these days....

It is good that you know you are gay/bi yourself. And if you want to follow a road where this is not permissible, it is also good that you know you easily succumb to lust and are trying to avoid it.

Good for you. We all have choices we make in life and it's great to see others who have the fortitude and direction of life to know what direction you need to go and the choices you make to get there.

I hope you will inspire other along your journey.
