If you follow the illogical thinking of many folks, then yes, that would give every straight preacher man the potential to slip at any minute, climb down off the pulpit platform, sneak past the church choir, and climb into the hay with the boy in the barn across the street, right?

And that means every self-respecting straight P.T.A. Mom is right on the edge of jumping into Lesbian-driven madness, jumping and humping every young girl standing behind the counter at McDonald's or smiling from behind a K-Mart cosmetic display.

No one is safe! Run for your lives!!! The homos are loose and coming to a heterosexual body near you, maybe even yours!!!

No one ever agrees with me on this, but instead of every straight person being "a closet case gay person," I think most people are a certain percentage of bisexual.

Hear me out here.

I am convinced that absolutely every human being is able to recognize attractive qualities in both sexes. So, even if that's the only thought an individual has, I say that equates to, say, 1% bisexuality.

Then, another person develops a crush on a member of the same sex, but that person never acts on it or tells anyone. The percentage goes up.

Another person develops a crush and acts on it, but experiences only a kiss before getting scare. Again, the percentage raises.

Another person "experiments in college" as so many say it. Again, up.

And so on until you have someone who fully enjoys both sexes.

If straights are the far right of the spectrum, bisexuals are the middle, and homosexuals are the far left. The farther to the left or right you go from the middle, the more the percentage drops.

It's a working theory that everyone thinks is completely insane, but I'm going with it.

Now, to your actual question, I believe only a few people choose to be homosexual, and those people are out for attention. And I think my theory answers the rest of the question.

The question doesn't make any sense, because we all know that being gay is NOT a choice. TRUST me on this one: a 100% true blue heterosexual male cannot and WILL not "choose" to be with a guy, if that's not what he wants. You can't TURN a straight guy gay, and he can't "CATCH" it from somebody either. (That goes for the ladies as well.)

Good point!! The only people who think that homosexuality is a choice, is ones who either don't take the time to think or who say what fits their own agenda best.

Yes, that would mean that straight people were just all closet gay folk just waiting to be seduced by a member of the same sex. ;)

LQTM...It certainly means that every straight person had (albeit briefly) homosexual feelings and made a choice not to acknowledge them. In order to make a choice you have to know what you are chosing between.

The way I understand it, the assumption is this: heterosexuality is the default, "normal" way of being and homosexuality is a "deviation" from that. Apparently people who are homosexual "choose" to deviate from their "natural" state.

So according to THAT view, no one chooses to be straight but every homosexual chose to be what they are.

But that would also make me a closet hettie ... I feel ill at the thought.

Hang on ... if I feel ill at the mere thought of heterosexual sex, and hetties feel ill at the mere thought of gay sex ... then maybe there is something about each of us that makes us either heterosexual or homosexual WITHOUT us making any choices.

That can't be right ... can it ...?
