The amendment would state that any religion that does not acknowledge that Jesus Christ was the only son of god, was crucified for our sins and rose from the dead on the third day, is no longer granted tax-free status and no longer has any standing in a court of law.

In other words, people would still be free to believe what they want, and to worship as they wish, but they would no longer be recognized as a "religion" unless they are a Christian denomination.

Would you support such an amendment?

Seeing many people working at ages 70+ I am thinking it is from necessity, whereas a friend feels it is to keep busy and is enjoyable for them. Any ideas from folks you know which it mainly is?

I have read a number of questions/answers that include heaven in them- the latest from a woman who posed an excellent question-what are you willing to do to create heaven on earth. Why all the crazy reactions? go with it as a concept of what it is that you truly would love your life to be.
Here's a heaven day to me; wake up to sunshire and birds, excellent coffee, a little meditating under the oaks. Work on my art, lunch of fresh food grown locally, walk on the beach, see some dolphins, have a laugh with some friends. Talk to my son, tell him I love him, have a laugh. Walk my dogs, have a friendly chat with my neighbour, listen intently while she talks about some issues she has, she walks away a little happier that someone listened. Cook a great dinner with a perfect California wine, enjoy with loved one sitting outside, laughing and flirting. Light some candles, and the night is still young.....
did you create heaven or hell for yourself and those around you today? it is a choice

Constantly and ALL the time, our neighbor every single day seems like he can't get enough of talkin to everyone.
He's nice and all, however once he talks for hrs. and hrs. to me, then he goes across the street to talk to another neighbor for a long time, then he goes to yet another neighbor and chats w/them for hrs. as well.
Seems to have good manners, but isn't there a line between being social vs. some type of handicap [excessive talking beyond belief]?
Isn't a little more than him being afraid to be alone?
what is the matter exactly w/a person of this nature?
any therapists out there who could analyze a jibber junkie?

If so, please explain faith in the supernatural.

If not, please explain why not, and then why other religions don't have an equal claim.

I wonder, over the course of history, if more Christians have been killed for their beliefs or have more people been killed by Christians for not believing?

Which do you think it is? Cite references if possible!

My friend is always reapeating that he does not like homosexuals and that he could not stand to be near one. In my personal opinion I do believe that either he is an ignorant or even better I do believe that he is homosexual. If you are so sure that there is not a God, then why do you keep arguing this with Christians and the like? Could it be this is more about you vs. you rather than vs. the other person?

My bf and I have been dating for a little over 3 years now. He is Catholic and I am not. I know that he wants a Catholic wedding, but he never goes to church. I think if we started going to church together, it would be good for us. What all is involved in becoming Catholic, and how long does it take?

I just graduated high school and a lot of my friends are having graduation parties. I don't have very much money, like most high school kids and I was just wondering how much money is a good amount to give? I don't want to give too much, but I also don't want to look cheap. Also, if you have gone to any graduation parties, how much did you give?

Some of you here say that evil is the absences of God.
Darkness is what happen when there is no light.
And bad things happen in the absence of good.
What if it is the other way around.
What if everything you know is backwards.
What if the devil created the book;
Filled it with inconsistancies to destroy mans faith.
Then made the rules too hard to follow to ruin mans will.
Then never showed himself again to destroy mans trust.
I love God and believe that he help me but sometimes i have to wonder at all the backtracking and double talking..

I feel so sorry for Paris! I love her because she's a rolemodel to young women and girls. Paris should not be back in jail! If she wants to drink and drive it is her own buisness. The only reason why some people hate her is because she is rich and better then them. She should not be back in jail.

A Hitler paid his compulsory (German state collected)church tax to the Catholic Church as some other Nazis did to the Lutheran Church or the Protestant Church of the Prussian Union, but Hitler hated Catholicism as "a Jewish corruption" and a"weakener of the German Volk( "racially pure"people).
Hitler and the Nazi leadership had to move skillfully to de -Christianize Germany since 1/3 of Germany was Catholic and the almost all the rest was at least nominally Protestant.
Catholic Church was a rival international power, too filled with "lesser breeds" like Latins,Slavs and Amerindians, harder to control than the Protestant "German Christian Movement" and dogmatically devoted toJews like Jesus ,Mary and the Apostles.
Hitler avoided Catholic religious services and approved the deaths of thousands of Catholic, especially Polish, clergy. Once the war was over and Nazi control was complete the Catholic Church was to be destroyed.
