No I haven't but, someday I wouldn't mind going but, I am blessed enough to know I don't have to go any farther than my own Church to be in the Holy Families presence. ---Actually I can be at home or anywhere with the Rosary and be in their presence.
I think Medugorje is great for people who need a faith lift though.

no, but I've lived in Yugoslavia.

We (my mother) knew something bad was going to happen when Francscan priests from Medjugorje were put into prison and ridiculed in national newspapers as saying stupid things. Their message was to pray for peace. But to do that must mean to expect a war in yugoslavia! (Sorry I can't show you newspapers that ran that story, but I was just a toddler at that time)

So my family moved to Canada just as the war was beginning to unfold. It was a terrible time for every family.

But the message is not to prepare for a disaster. The disaster happened allready by the millions of souls turning away from God. The message is to repent, like John the Baptist said.

Besides, I never used o go to confession, now I go every month and I'm a much happier person.

I have been there 3 times since 1990 and I really believe that Medugorje is Our Lady`s plan for the neglect of Fatima, in other words because Russia has not been properly consecrated and has not shown any signs of conversion, then the Blessed Virgin has been trying to prepare us for the consequences of neglecting Fatima.

I went in 1990 (just before the war there) and I was very impressed with the pilgrims, local people and the alleged seers. Of course, this alleged apparition and its locutions have not yet been approved and it is under critical investigation by the Vatican and the Croatian Bishops' Conference.
