If was not important John the Baptist would not have preached and taught about it. Jesus Christ would not have gotten baptized. He did it tofulfill all righteousness. We find the Apostles he chose that loved him ,baptizing sinners in Jesus christ. His beautiful and lovely name. It is through the Acts of the Apostles their testimony. Luke 11:28 But he said, Ye rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God and keep it. Jesus the master stated this as well. Luke 13: 5 I tell you Nay: but except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. So all of us living on earth have to make the decision to love him or reject his offer of love.

Most muslims are killed by other muslims. Most Christians are guilty of killing other Christians especially in foreign countries. Catholics kill prostantants. Catholics kill other smaller religions of the Christian faith. In Africa they killed Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, SDA, and other african religions. But mostly other Christians.
For some reasons most religions were their own worst enemy.
Most wars are faught over religion. Most soldiers go to war with their religious leaders blessings. Am I the only one who didn't know that and find it supriseing?

I'm a Muslim woman who loves books and has my own mini library...If I went to a Christian Bookstore to get a couple books for reference and you were there and saw me, how would you react? Would you think I am converting to Christianity and praise Jesus? Would you try to talk to me about religion? What would you think/do?

There is one by my home...but maybe I should just order the stuff off the net....

I asked something similar not long ago but realized its shortcomings. To define 'God' is necessary in discussions about these beliefs. So now I'm going to more effectively get at what's bothering me.

An atheist rejects the possibility of God, but not necessarily the supernatural. Still, many atheists reject the possibility of the supernatural as well. Why is this, logically? A lack of evidence does not mean anything, especially considering the fact that the nature of the supernatural is to transcend the physical world that we perceive. You (we) use this same argument against theists, though we also criticize their individual ideas of the supernatural and of God. I understand the logical problems of Christianity, but that is not what I'm questioning right now. Just: for those of you who do reject the possibility of the supernatural, what is your logical reason for this?

If our faculties for reasoning are a product of natural selection, then they exist because they facilitate survival, which is not necessarily the same as them existing because they impart objective truth. Many animals can be conditioned towards a specific behavior through a stimulus/response mechanism utilizing their biological senses, which is how natural selection would work. We would be "trained" to keep certain mental processes because they produce a response to environmental stimuli better suited for survival. C.S. Lewis wrote "But it is not conceivable that any improvement of responses could ever turn them into acts of insight. The relation between response and stimulus is utterly different from that between knowledge and the truth known." Evolution of more acute eyesight could not bring a species to a knowledge of how light and sight function. How, then, can we trust the ability of our mental capacities if they originated in this manner?

It is a fact that domestic plants are all flowering plants which means they produce pollen in large quantities to survive. If the Nephite/Jaredite civilizations had been growing these crops: wheat, barley, and flax for even just a few decades, every soil core sample taken in Central and North America should show traces of their respective pollen. Pollen is one of the most indestructible natural objects known, and has been found on the Shroud of Turin and Antarctic core samples.

So far, there has been no evidence of any cultivation of these crops prior to European colonization.
