He's Roman Catholic.
FROM WIKIPEDIA:
Richardson is pro-choice, supports the death penalty and gun rights, and advocates affirmative action policies in government contracts. While he voted in favor of the Defense of Marriage Act in 1996, he has since supported LGBT rights in his career as governor; he added sexual orientation and gender identity to New Mexico's list of civil rights categories, and opposes the "don't ask, don't tell" policy. He opposes the war in Iraq, and has called for the withdrawal of all U.S. troops from the region by the end of 2007.

I used to live in the state he was governor of. As I recall, a mild Catholic and he has a mind (pro evolution). Yes. He's catholic http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Richardson
He's very captialistic and was a little weak in education. But I like the guy a lot more than the 3 frontrunners.
(edit) Markyyy, I'm trying to find something specific about evolution but I can't. I don't think any democrats are creationists. The republicans were asked about it on a debate last week and roughly half of them raised their hand when they were asked if creationism and evolution should be taught together in schools.

New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson: Catholic, attends St. Francis Cathedral Parish in Santa Fe, N.M., "on a fairly regular basis, and attends services on the road when possible."

Faith - Roman Catholic
His lifestyle of the rich and famous. He speeds, he eats too much, his style can be a bit imperial.
Time magazine called him "beefy, cigar-chomping," a man whose "addiction to winning over people is almost as legendary" as President Clinton's. He's been likened to good friend Clinton in his gregariousness and ability to spin a tale.

I don't think he has one. If he does-its benign. He is not born again, so in reality he is not a Christian. He may belong to some church, but only for political reasons.
