It seems we are all born as sinners. As bad, bad people.

If you were the last and only person on this planet, which of all those in-born sins are still valid? You can't murder, lie, steal, commit adultery, etc, etc.

So, which sins are we truly born with?

I don't get how people can stomach christian 'rock'. Even the most hardcore religious fanatic must see through their pathetic pandering. Or is it all just propaganda?

My Pastor confronted our church this past Sunday with this unbelievable news. What do you think the reason/reasons behind this fact is? Do you think that in a world where so many people reject the Gospel, that we as Christians are afraid of that rejection? Or do you think maybe we just don't care anymore as long as we know the truth?

I know sometimes trying to witness to others can be difficult. Just a few months ago I was helping pass out flyers in my community for a church event... when I came upon this man and handed him a flyer he crumbled it up in my face and he said, " I don't want nothing to with no God! And no church! Talk about rejection! It really hurt! Needless to say I didn't care much for that man at that time. Yet it is still our duty as Christians to witness to others. What do you think?

Has anyone ever heard a story in which a murderer, robber or rapist explained their actions by saying, "Oh, I'm an atheist, so I don't see any problem with what I did." Of course not. You don't have to be religious to have a moral code. But I keep reading responses on R&S that talk about how atheists just want to be able to do whatever they feel like doing. What I feel like doing is sleeping all day and then having some ice cream. But of course I get up, go to work, treat people around me with respect and call my mother regularly. Can anyone give me a serious response to this?

Ok, the question in the header doesn't actually cover my question. It's actually: Where do some Christians get the information from that Christians are so much more generous than other people?

It's hard to find accurate statistics on it, because a person doesn't put his religion under a donation.

If I read statistics on the Tsunami for example, a Christian nation like the USA donated less than 1 dollar per capita. A secular nation like Sweden donated 17 dollars per capita.

Mind you, I don't believe any group is more generous than others. I simply think that every person has generousity in his/her heart. And I believe that generousity is a personal subject that should be kept private.

But, why do I see so many Christians on this website make the claim that Christians are more generous than others. Are there any statistics, world-wide, that support that claim?

I applied for a job; they called me back the day after I applied, but I didn't realize they called me until I checked my phone. They also did not leave a voice message.

Has anyone listened to someone else's sad story out of respect? Someone that you knew or even didn't know? How does this make you feel? Do you feel like the person has added some burden that you didn't need? Or it helped you with your own burdens.
For me, listening to other people's lives makes me feel good about my life. Sometimes, I can solve my problems by listening.
