It is a somewhat complicated way of saying that you have to know God before you can understand him and his ways. Anyone who has a personal relationship with God will agree with it I'm sure.

This reminds me of how little I really knew about God until I got to know him. I thought I knew everything from Sunday school, church, confirmation etc. but not even close. He is much, much more than anyone ever told me.

Yes. This verse is the basis of natural theology, which feeds directly into Paul's argument in chapter 2, which states that the righteous are not those who are members of a particular ethnic group or organization, but those who persist in seeking glory, honor and immortality through doing good, even if they have only had the revelation available generally through creation. Such as these will receive eternal life, while those who have had the Scriptures and yet not responded to them as they should will be judged. That is what Paul says in the first two chapters of Romans, and lots of Christians skip these chapters, read the rest, and take him to mean almost the precise opposite of what he wrote.

Yep, but try explaining that verse to a atheist.

Since we can't see what we're talking about, it must be true.
