It is saying that we, as humans, are not gods or god, so we must turn from that notion and seek the true M.O. which comes from above (method of operation), and then we are in our proper sphere of thought and action.

The Kingdom of God is a central part of the Bible theme, when Jesus said to pray for the coming of the Kingdom he was talking about the Kingdom that he & 144,000 others would rule over mankind that survived the great tribulation (rev 7:9, 13,14) & those ressurected durning the 1,000 yrs
(Daniel 2:44) 44 “And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite;
(Daniel 7:13-14) 13 “I kept on beholding in the visions of the night, and, see there! with the clouds of the heavens someone like a son of man happened to be coming; and to the Ancient of Days he gained access, and they brought him up close even before that One. 14 And to him there were given rulership and dignity and kingdom, that the peoples, national groups and languages should all serve even him. His rulership is an indefinitely lasting rulership that will not pass away, and his kingdom one that will not be brought to ruin.
you see when Jesus was on earth he gave a preview of whats to come for mankind Like God wanted in the first place
(Isaiah 35:5-6) 5 At that time the eyes of the blind ones will be opened, and the very ears of the deaf ones will be unstopped. 6 At that time the lame one will climb up just as a stag does, and the tongue of the speechless one will cry out in gladness. . .
this has yet to be fulfilled
(1 Corinthians 15:24-28) 24 Next, the end, when he hands over the kingdom to his God and Father, when he has brought to nothing all government and all authority and power. 25 For he must rule as king until [God] has put all enemies under his feet. 26 As the last enemy, death is to be brought to nothing. 27 For [God] “subjected all things under his feet.” But when he says that ‘all things have been subjected,’ it is evident that it is with the exception of the one who subjected all things to him. 28 But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him, that God may be all things to everyone.
you see it was God's purpose when he made man to be perfect & to live forever without sickness or death, he will accoumplish this by means of the Kingdom
(Revelation 21:3-4) . . .With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

I think "thy will be done" connects to "on Earth as it is in Heaven".
One day Earth and the Kingdom of Heaven will be one.

That we should trust that Jesus will be back. And we should pray for His will be done, because He knows what is the best for us.
