Well Why Didn't We Start Counting When (Lets Just Say Alaxander The Great's Birth, When T.V Was Created, Or At The Very Begining Of Time) It Just Doesn't Seem Fair To Other Important Dates!

The calendar system currently in use was designed by a monk, thats why. I don't remember much about him, but the calendar system still bears his name: The Gregorian calendar.

Actually, we didn't. We're not sure when Jesus was born. Earliest estimates are around 7 BCE, latest are not at all. As for why we started when we did, it's the best estimate that the Romans had at the time. His birthday isn't correct either. That was just incorporated from Pagan and Egyptian religions that the people had already been celebrating. That's why the bible has no dates in it. All of them are fabricated to coincide with what the people were already practicing.

i'm no longer Christian, or non secular for that count. even regardless of the undeniable fact that, Jesus is asserted to have a organic soul, and the only "ideal guy" and to accomplish that could make him a liar and imperfect. So in case you have faith, i assume carry onto it. additionally, and it is been awhile because of the fact i've got studied it, so i don't comprehend the final quote. yet in accordance to the bible. In heaven time travels plenty swifter than it does on earth. If I undergo in suggestions wisely.

Because Constatine coverted all of Rome and redid the calander. Its now reffered to BCE (Before Christian Era) and ADE (Translates into after the Christian Era) We are techincally in the year of our lord 2007. But no one uses that anymore since there are so many different religions now.

You're absolutely right. Real followers of Christ's teachings would have counted years from the crucifixion and maybe then they would have got the date right.

The countries that conquered most of the world (England, France and Spain) were Christian and used the Christian calender.

We didn't. It's not like it was 10 AD when Jesus was ten years old, that calendar was created long after his death.

Isn't it just awesome? Even if you are an atheist, you still are living "in the year of our Lord 2007". I think it is wonderful.
