First of all, let me say right off the bat that I don't lose sleep wondering whether or not it will be pre-trib, mid-trib, or post-trib. Jesus will return for His church....there's no question about it according to scripture.

But I thought I would just throw this question out there to all believers in Christ to get a feel for what you hold to as far as the Day of the Lord.

Honestly, I still lean towards a pre-tribulation rapture of the church.......but if you were to hold a gun to my head over whether or not that was the only possible scenario.....I think I might just recant.

What are your thoughts? I would prefer Christians only on this because of the nature of the question.

It was The Catholic Church at the Councils of Carthrage, Hippo and Trent which infalliably declared what books of the New Testament were God-Breathed. She chose 27 books out of hundreds circuling around out there. Such as
The Gospel of Peter
The Gospel of Nicodemus (also called the "Acts of Pilate")
The Gospel of Judas
The Questions of Bartholomew
The Resurrection of Jesus Christ (which claims to be according to Bartholomew)
The Apocalypse of Adam
"Secret Gospel of John")
The Coptic Gospel of the Egyptians (wholly independent of its namesake, the Greek Gospel of the Egyptians)
The Coptic Apocalypse of Paul
Three Steles of Seth

The Apostles had nothing to do with it. This all happened later. If the Church is so wrong, then why trust the books she declared were scripture?

If her beliefs are so unbiblical then why would she print a book that anyone could read and see that for themselves?

So far, it doesn't look like there's enough christians that want me to go to church. But by chance there's a sudden christian awakening and I do reach 100 stars on the above question, do you think the earth will tremble, the ground will split open, church will burst into flames and Jesus himself will jump out of the crack to deny my entrance? Or do you think god is using this as a means to get me back in church and he will perform some kind of miracle on my heart to override the logic in my brain and make me a believer again?

p.s. for those that were interested, yes, it's a Mega Church, 10,000 members, Baptist with a hint of Pentacostalism, you know, the run around the church and roll on the floor with the holy ghost type of church. With all that annointing, something is bound to happen right?

i realize having sex before marriage in the catholic religion is a "no-no" so obviously a sin has occurred, but if the priest didn't know of the abortion, would you say it would be ok to marry in the church? want/need some opinions.....thanks!

I asked "Must you use the cause of my grief as an opportunity to preach?"

I was told "That is the best time to tell others of the love of Christ, so as to bring comfort in a time of pain."

So the best time to convert me to Christianity is when I've lost my son, and Christians offer me the chance to be reunited with him?

How am I to not see this as an insult against my cherished and life-long belief in Love?

Do Christians like this think they're the only ones who believe in a here-after?

Do they swoop in like vultures on injured prey?

Do they chase ambulances?

Not all Christians are like that ... would that there were none like that.

I really want to because it's so open and I beleive in a lot of the stuff, but I don't beleive in a "god" or "goddess."
I mean, not as a thinking entity. I think of them more as a course of nature.
Could I still be accepted into that religion?

About religion. Who was right professor or student when it came to is Jesus real. The student went on faith and the professor went off of teaching. I just realized what my sociology degree was good for. I want to work with people (in need). Does anyone know how I can get a job at a homeless shelter, drug rehab, or group home here in Metro Atlanta? I have tried opportunityknocks,org I have also tried the jobsite. and all the other job wesbites. Bottom lines does anyone work at any of these places where you can suggests for me?
