LOL.
Isn't that funny?

"you have to be possessed by a holy spirit before you can understand that bible"

what two-faced, fraudulent, ridiculous nonsense!

Christian book stores are filled with books that the Holy Spirit may assist you in reading and understanding the Bible.

One of the best books that I have read recently is SonPlacing by Garrison. It's available at: http://www.amazon.com

The Holy spirit is Omnipresent. He is everywhere. He is the third person of the God head. Most people come to Christ without ever personally reading the Bible to lead them to Christ. I've have actually talked to persons who accepted Christ in a club while nearly intoxicated. Now I would not advocate that you go to a club or bar to find Christ but the Holy Spirit is everywhere drawing men and women to make a decision for Christ.

I love the movies. Even before I began studying the bible as much as I do now, God would show me things about Himself and His word through the movies. He communicates with me constantly about His nature, through every day life.

Jesus said he would send a sacred ghost.

At the first big believers' convention, the sacred ghost showed up, only it was Jesus' uncle wearing a sheet.

He served wine and muffins, and soon they were speaking a language they didn't understand.

Now you want the sacred ghost to assist you in something?

Sounds like a catch-22 for me.

I certainly can't believe it without understanding it, I can't understand it without being possessed, but I can't be possessed without believing.

It would seem to me that a better god would make a clearer book.

If you have the Holy Spirit in you, he will "assist" you in everything you do. ;) He can reveal truths anywhere they exist, and he will send up red flags to the danger of lies.
