First of all, let me say right off the bat that I don't lose sleep wondering whether or not it will be pre-trib, mid-trib, or post-trib. Jesus will return for His church....there's no question about it according to scripture.

But I thought I would just throw this question out there to all believers in Christ to get a feel for what you hold to as far as the Day of the Lord.

Honestly, I still lean towards a pre-tribulation rapture of the church.......but if you were to hold a gun to my head over whether or not that was the only possible scenario.....I think I might just recant.

What are your thoughts? I would prefer Christians only on this because of the nature of the question.

I am in the exact same boat as you- I do not fret when the Lord will come back, I just pray it be soon!
I also lean towards pre trib, but I am not going to say for a fact that it will be- however I do believe deep down it probably will, according to scripture.
I just hope it is soon! I say "MARANATHA!!"

Here is the way I see it.

There are records of those deep into Eastern Mysticism that have foretold via spirit guides that there is going to be a great disappearance of people in the future--however, not to panic as these are the "unenlightened" who have been taken by higher beings to be "reprogrammed" to the higher level of consciousness. When the rapture occurs, these records will be made public via the media.

I believe there will be great signs in the heavens. One group will believe the signs are from God, the others will believe they are close encounters that will give credence to the above explanation.

TV and movies have been subtly preparing mankind for this and many will welcome it as vindication for their beliefs. However, it will be a great delusion to believe "the lie"--that we are evolving into a higher plane of consciousness.

On the heels of this rapture is great chaos that will swing a great leader into gear. He will present a unifying world religion (since religion is the cause of all the unrest) tied to a new monetary system. Those that do not covert to this religion, will be beheaded (we see this starting even now). Those who convert away, will be killed.

In the guise of "peace", this leader will deceive the nations and its peoples. Fear will cause instant acceptance for whatever he proposes.

A pre-tribulation rapture is the only logical was of uniting Daniel, Isaiah and Revelation. Any other scenario violates key passages. For example, not knowing the day or the hour of the rapture. The tribulation is 7 years. Mid-trib means you can time the rapture as being 3.5 years from the starting point. Post-trib means you can time the rapture as being 7 years from the starting point. When is the only time you cannot know the day or the hour? Pre-trib. All others can be timed accordingly.

The rapture of the church is key to the prophetic countdown of Daniel's 70 weeks of years. There is one week of years left to go. Guess how long the tribulation is? Get the time line right, and the last days scenario will not be a surprise. Everything is happening just as the Bible foretold--and it won't be long.

I don't loose sleep over it either. (I did once dream about rising in the air in the rapture and waking up so disappointed that it hadn't really happened.)

I think of the Day of the Lord as being the Day He returns with us which will be after the rapture and when every eye shall see Him and every knee shall bow. At that point we will be the "army" that comes with Him (dressed in white linen). as He steps foot on the earth again. As seen in Revelation 19:11 - 14. With a word He will destroy the armies of the world that have come against Him in the valley of Meddigo....(aka. Armegeddon.) It will truly be the beginning of the end of this world as we know it. Nothing will be the same after that. Maranatha!

It fugures there are people who don't know how to read. This is a great question and my answer can be very lengthy so I will try to summerize what the Bible says and forgo resighting Scripture to save time.

As we near the end of time there will be many world disasters. There will be wars and rumors of wars. Most of this is happening now, but will get worse. The only thing we have not to fear pertaining to wars is that God promises that he will come again and destroy those who seek to destroy the world. Meaning nuclear distruction. God promises to come before man ever sets off a nuclear bomb.

The devil will be working very hard, mainly through our own churches to decieve many. The Bible tells us that only a remnant will be true to God. When God does come it will be all at once. Every eye will see him. Those who were disobedient to God will try to hide and ask for the rocks to fall upon them. The earth will tremble and quake. God will first raise all the righteous dead and they will be immediatly transformed into perfect beings. They will have the same bodies they had before only perfected. The righteous living will be transformed as well. The righteous dead along with the righteous living will meet the Lord in the air. They will go to heaven and live there for 1000 years. Meanwhile the wicked dead will be consumed by fire. And Satan and his angels will be forced to live on a barron planet for a 1000 years to comtemplate what they have done.

During the 1000 years all the righteous will get to go through the heavenly books and to see why people they knew and loved are not there. They will be able to take part in the judgement of the wicked. This is for the righteous to see that God really is fair in his judgements. We will have a white robe and a crown with jewels. Everyone will have a different number of jewels on their crown. Each jewel represents the number of people that you brought to Christ. Every one will be satisfied with what they received. We will grow bigger and stronger and smarter. We will be able to travel to other planets and galaxies.

After the 1000 years God will bring the heavenly city down on the Mount of Olives. At that time he will raise all the wicked dead. Satan will again tempt them and get them to form an army to try to take the heavenly city. As they approach they will see the Master and at the last moment all their sins will flood through their minds and they will bow in reference and fear of the Lord. God will then destroy the entire earth and all the wicked, including Satan and his angels forever. They will be eternally dead. There is not a hell where they burn forever. Hell is eternal death. After that the whole world will be made new again and we will live in peace forever and ever. There will be no more sin.

If you want to read a another good book on this along the history of Christianity, The Great Controversy is great.

As a pre-tribber, I think those "left behind" will think either we were captured by aliens or that we evaporated through natural selection's "survival of the fittest" theory. Most will be saying "good riddance". For those that will mourn our departure, a new ruler will rise up claiming he will find out what happened and how not to let it happen again.
Many catastrophic events will occur but not as many taken away as we think will go, for narrow is the way.
Even though the technology is in place for the mark of the beast and Christians are getting close to being silenced, I think things will get much worse before it occurs. But I would take that route today if He'd allow it.
I think meeting Christ in the air will be like skydiving backwards. But just meeting Him in the air will be beyond what I can fathom.

We had somewhat extra snow final evening, however the present heat climate ability that the imminent canines sleigh race between Dawson city and Eagle Alaska which follows the Yukon River could be a moist one! it is likewise my birthday. And, I relatively have now lived longer than the two considered one of my mothers and fathers controlled to, so pondering all issues, this could be a competent day!

I think (like you not fully sure) it will happen all at once. "He will separate them left and right" the lost to the left the saved to the right. In a blink of an eye. I don't believe in a 1000 yr reign I think that's symbolic. I believe the desolation of the temple happened in 70 ad when Rome destroyed it. I think the rebuilding of the temple was a term meaning Jesus rising from the dead, not an actual building. So it already happened. When Jesus was talking to peter in Rev. he says, "these are event that are to soon come to pass" Soon meant soon. I think most (not all of course) of revelation was about the persecution of the early church Nero in fact I think meant 666-sis hundred and 6. Many believe most knew 666 meant Nero.

I know I'm kind of rambling. But I think it will happen all at once-poof done. I don't believe in anyone left behind, left behind in a field meant some saved some not saved.

Not sure how it will go down for the lost (which makes me very very sad)like you i have family not saved. I know their have to appear for judgment at the white throne.

When the day of the lord comes the sun and the moon will go away. The oceans will dry up. Satan and his gang will be cast into an abyss for 1000 years, billions of folks will be resurrected...and given a chance to be with the Lord.Jesus will take center stage. Judgment will commence. all those found worthy will have their names written in Gods book of life...all those not called from the memorial tombs will be simply forgotten by God. Then the earth will be restored to a condition of perfection. And all the righteous OTHER sheep will live forever and Jesus will be king of kings ,Lord of Lords and The name of Jehovah will be glorified forever.AMEM

We will meet the Lord in the air.

It will happen in one day Luke 17:26-30 compared to Noah and flood and Lot and Sodom.

No signs
Matthew 25:13 “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.
Matthew 24:36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.
1 Thessalonians 5:2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.

Not silent
1 Thes 4
16-shout
17-caught with him in the air
13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

Matt 24:31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Destruction of earth
2 Pet 3:10ff tells us the earth will be burned up at Jesus coming (coming=end=burned up). You can’t reign 1000 yrs on something that isn’t there.

Resurrection of dead and punishment of wicked and righteous happen on the day of the Lord, the end.
2 Thes 1:7-9 also says that both events-judgment on righteous and wicked will happen on the day of theLord.

Acts 24:15 speaks of one resurrection and 2 groups getting either reward or punishment.

John 5:28-29 says in the hour of his coming the righteous will go to the resurrection of life and the wicked to the resurrection of damnation and all will come out of the grave. One moment and two resurrections are spoken of, not two different events.

1 Cor 15 talks about the coming of the Lord and says the end comes on that day.

The kingdom is in existence now, under Christ’s rule; he gives it back to the Father at the end.
1 Cor 15:24 Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.

The tribulation and 1000 year reign are misinterpretations of Revelation and other scriptures.

Read the King James Version of the Holy Bible and Study to show yourself Approved.

1 Thessalonians 4:11 - And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

2 Timothy 2:15 - Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
