Again i dont know why so many people think buddha was chineese and people are so misinformed. Buddhism is a great religon from indian origins and the oriental people made the statue of buddha look oriental with the slanted eyes and the short stubby nose I mean my god he looks oriental. And holy crouching tiger hidden dragon they also turned our beloved religon into one big kung fu movie. Watching movie after movie about fighting and how buddhism has nothing to do with fighting or special magical powers, I mean this is sick. What do you people think?????????????????

How many wars have been caused by religion...? What is with people trying to spread their personal beliefs on others? Isn't a cult of mindless sheep following the shepard?

If you have, what color are you? If you haven't, there is a simple version of the test here: http://www.truecolorscareer.com/quiz.asp

And please add your beliefs/lack of.

This is just for fun. I noticed a correlation between religious preferences and the color in my family members....so I was just wondering if it applies to others.

You know. There's the goths, the skaters, the blondes. So what are you? I'm a theatrical kind of person who wears hats a lot. I don't know what the people who are into drama are called. Could you tell me that, too?

If Christians can find an excuse not to follow these verses because they are “Pauls opinion” but the rest of the Bible is the “absolute word of God” then aren’t Christians just picking and choosing what their desires agree with ??

If someone says these are the opinions of one of the writers of the Bible then the Trinity can also be an opinion of men.

That means the Bible is not the “WORD OF GOD”, it is just a book written by men and Christians follow it because its all they have.

If somebody says they only follow the rules of the NT and Jesus saved them from the Law in the OT, then why don’t they follow these FEW rules as written below ?

Why should the “change of Times” affect the obedience to GODs Laws, unless the entire book is the word of Man which can change with the times.

"Any woman who prays with her head unveiled dishonors her head. It is the same as if her head were shaven, for if a woman will not veil herself then she should cut off her hair. But if it is disgraceful for a woman to be shorn or shaven , let her wear a veil. (1 Corenthians 11 :5).

Whosoever looketh upon a woman to lust after her hath committed ADULTRY with HER already...-----(MATT 5:028)

To be discreet, chaste, keepers at HOME, good, OBEDIENT to their HUSBANDS... ------ (Timothy 2:005)

Likewise, ye wives, be in SUBJECTION to your own HUSBANDS. ----- (1PE 3:001)

Women should remain SILENT in the Church. They are NOT ALLOWED to speak, but must be in SUBMISSION, as the Law says. – (1 Corinthians 14:34)

"I permit NO woman to TEACH or have AUTHORITY over men". –( 1 Timothy 2:11-14)

The man of god, very capable.
If they were to speak,
we would only hear cracks.
For them,
he wasted the fables for the shouts of his voice.

It's something. Don't ask what it's for. I'm not learning Italian, I have my own needs for translating this, though.
Thanks in advance.

14. Church leaders have been responsible for some of the greatest horrors in human history and are capable of doing it again. Why would you EVER think they spoke for God?
Now consider the word omniscience -- this word means all-knowing and is regularly applied to "God." Omniscience involves seeing all of time, including the future at once. Now consider the number of people who have been murdered, either directly or indirectly, as a result of Christian ideas: hundreds of thousands and, more likely, millions. Now ask yourself what sort of god would introduce such documents as the Old and New Testaments, knowing full well all the torture and horror that would be committed in their name?

15. Why would somebody as kind and great as Jesus be associated with a return accompanied by horrors, pestilence and earthquakes?

16. The idea of Jesus taking care of everything for you eliminates personal responsibility, so why bother with ethics?

11. The Jewish, Catholic and Protestant Bibles all consist of different books.

12. New Testament is obviously not divine inspiration because the accounts themselves contradict one another. IMPRESSIVE events are related in one, but not the other. The oldest manuscripts of “Mark” don’t even have the resurrection tale, nor final passages about spreading the word. With these problems exposed, why trust any of it?

13. Why trust the opinion of anyone beyond yourself? “Upon this rock” is supposed to mean Peter? Please. It’s an ambiguous statement.

you guys ask atheists, "how can you be moral without god?"

well, we are every bit as moral as you guys.
but it seems you guys are admitting that at your root nature, you are immoral. and we are not.

so i have to conclude that atheists are >more< moral than christians, even without outside guidance to tell us what to do

thoughts?

4. The Old Testament makes no mention of New Testament events. Attempts to tie them have come later, often as ridiculous contrivances -- such as the virgin birth idea in Isaiah.

5. Scarcely any of the New Testament ideas are new. The Greeks, Egyptians, Norse and, especially, the Zoroastrians, already had beliefs in afterlifes and demigods that helped humanity (Prometheus) or were killed and resurrected (Persephone, Adonis, Mithra, Baldar, and Osiris.) Likewise, the eucharist, or eating of a god, was not new (Osiris and Meditteranean mystery religions.) The idea of an evil adversary was not new (Zoroastrianism). Mithra was eventually thought of as Ahura Mazda incarnate.

6. Why would an intelligent God speak out in only one small place, then depend on translations and tons of time when people can’t properly relate a story they heard or saw an hour ago?

I believe in God and have a very personal relationship with Him, but do not follow the teachings of any religion as I think they are all based on mostly man made traditions etc. This is the word I received from God. Most of the questions on R & S seem to focus on Christians or on atheists. Although I know that Jesus exists and that He is with God this very moment, I don't pretend to know why he came to earth or if his death had anything to do with forgiveness of sin...thus I can not be classified as a Christian. My God has only told me that He sent Jesus, that Jesus is with him now, and that Jesus is special to Him. God has also told me that each person is called by Him and that it is up to them to either ignore Him or answer. No doctrine or dogma involved...just the personal relationship...including the constant presence of God in ones life. I would not give it up to go back to being a "churchy person" Anyone else feel similarly?

I'm supposed to do an interview of people that were involved in the Vietnam war, it doesnt matter if you just saw it happen in the news, know someone that was in it, or if you were actually fighting in it, just as long as you somehow experienced it. I have a couple of questions for you to fill out so please elaborate on your answers and thank you so much for doing so.

1. Why did the United States fight a war in Vietnam?
2. How did you feel about the war at that time?
3. In what ways did the Vietnam war affect America?
4. In what ways did the Vietnam war affect the world?
5. Do you think America should be praised or condemned for its involvement in the Vietnam war? why?
6. How were you affected by the Vietnam war?
7. How were you involved in it?
8. How old were you at that time, and what were you doing during the war?
9. Please include your name and age for refrences.

Thanks again for taking your time to answer the questions. It is very much appreciated.
